Pressing the VIEW softmenu key gives you a scrolling graphical menu of the sections available to you. They include Weather, Currency, Itinerary, Alarms, World Time, and Options.

The weather screens offer a lot. Views consist of 5 day, 48 hour, Weather Map and Satellite Views.

The Menu softkey allows you several options, like changing from celcius to fahrenheit, but it also has the FETCH FORCAST option. Yes, it will download your forcast for you and keep your information up to date!

Do you know if the airport you are flying through is experiencing delays? Most likely no. Until you switch to the Airports view! You can see expected delays for 4 6-hour periods during the day! So when you arrive at the airport you can be mentally prepared to spend longer hanging out, or know that you have to run like crazy to make that next flight.

If you travel internationally you certainly exchange money. But what are the current exchange rates? Is that today's rate or yesterdays? Ar you sure? With Fizz Traveller you can be. You can update the exchange rates at any time.

Fizz Traveller also serves as an alarm and time center. There is a local time screen with your location highlighted, and the dark/light overlay to show day and night. You can select the view to show time in multiple cities with the time map in a smaller view as well. There is a section to set up reminder alarms, and a page for you to define tasks that are part of your itinerary.

The bottom line is that this program is a VERY capable application and I can see how invaluable it can be for someone who spends any amount of time traveling for business. And if the application stopped there it would be worth the cost, but it doesn't stop there. Fizz has also included a home screen plugin to show you the weather! This is my home screen with the Fizz Traveller plugin highlighted. It has several functions which include city selection, 5 day and 48 hour forcasts, and a screen that allows you to press your action button to open up the full Fizz Traveller application. But after you install the home screen it will not show you any data until you open Fizz Traveller at least once. So don't let that throw you off. When you power cycle the phone, you will again have to start up Fizz before the home screen plugin will show you any data.

So there you have it. Fizz Traveller 2.0 in a nutshell. Something I didn't really cover, but proves to be a very valuable part of the program is the automatic updates. You can set up Fizz Traveller to update your forcast information as frequently as every 2 hours, so you will always have up-to-date weather. There are other small things that just tweak this application out, but would make this review far too long. But that's the bulk of what the program can do. So if you travel, and you have a SmartPhone, you need this application. Once you start using it, you won't know how to live without it!
