Has anybody used both of these? Which one is better?

Use PocketEncoder - It is slick and free.

Combined with Betapalyer you have encoding and playback.

Which beta player would be better, stable or unstable? Also what are the optimal record settings for the 5600? Thanks

I'm not having any luck with encoding. The most i got to was like 4 percent on one and then it didn't even work anyways. What am I doing wrong?

I've tried both and could not get DVD to Smartphone to work. It would crash every time it went to step 2. I did get CarryDVD to work however and it works great! That is as long as the .wmv file is on the phone's memory and not on my miniSD. When I play it from the miniSD it is really jerky. Anyone else have this problem? If so is there a solution? Maybe it's because I bought a cheapo miniSD card from Transendusa?

Do you have anything else running in background when you tried it?
I looked at the DVD to Smartphone package, but I don't have the time to waste downloading from a CD. I susppose there are some sample files to download that I could try it on my phone with though.

I don't have anything else running at the time. BTW- I have a MPx220 if that makes any difference. Here is a file you can try:

Let me know how it works on yours.
Thanks!

Its playing right now... haven't see that pic in more than a couple years...
I don't notice any particular jerkyness of it though. Looks okay even in full screen mode. Would be good enough on a flight.

Damn, maybe it is my SD then... What brand are you using? Hopefully someone will try it on their MPx220.

Where'd you even find a SanDisk 512? The biggest one I can find is 256. That's why I bought the Transcend.

Connections.... this dude wearing a red suit with white trimming happened to come by with some SanDisk mfg samples. I have to give it back in a couple weeks but I was assured they would be readily available by then.
I think they might have got stuck with my Logitech Mobile Freedom that was supposed to be here this week. I've been told now that they won't be in till the 30th. Could have had one by now if I didnt listen to the lady on the phone when I ordered mine.

Will someone with a MPx220 and a miniSD card please try to play this movie from their SD card? When I play it on my internal memory it plays fine, but off the SD card it is really jerky. Just want to know if my miniSD is a piece of crap. Thanks!

I have a brand new MPx220 with the latest firmware. I downloaded your clip onto my 128 mb Sandisk miniSD card. The video stutters about every other second. I tried playing it from the internal memory, and it plays back fine.
My phone lists under properties that you used a WMP8 codec. Is this the most current codec to use, seeing as you're playing the file on WMP9? That might be the trouble. Also, you might try what someone else suggested earlier: pocketdivx and betaplayer. If you have the same issues with a divx file, then you might want to try a different brand of card.
E-mail me if you redo your movie in divx so I can test it again. Thanks.

You can change the encoder very easily. Please visit our faq at
http://www.carrydvd.com/faq.htmand check out how "To create your own profiles". You can then change the encoder type and find one that suits the memory card.
