using caller2picture, i found that their claims of allowing one to assign custom ringtones to each contact from an sd card are true! i decided to take the plunge and buy the product and now can assign custom ringtones for each contact off the sd card. i then had my sister call me, and it worked! however, the manufacturer claims that the program also allows one to recognize wma files as ringtones, but unfortunately my phone doesn't show my wmas when i'm trying to select a ringtone. i'll try to contact them about this. in addition, i've been using the program for a day and have not experienced any problems (no soft or hard resets). i also went into the general sound menu to change the system sounds and found that i could do so without the phone resetting (previously, if you used the registry hack to play custom ringtones off the sd card and then went into the sound menu, the phone would crash). if you have any questions, i'd be happy to answer them. can't wait until they get the wma thing fixed!

no, and i don't think any program allows mp3 to be used for ringtones. however the program does say that wma files can be used as ringtones. unfortunately, i can't get that to work. i've notified the develpers in the hopes that they would rectify the situation. I'll let you all know what happens.

Phone locks up all the time upon installing this program. Doesnt save the profiles very well.

hmm, i've had no such problems. it takes a while to load up when you go to edit your contacts, but works well when identifying callers.

Does anyone know of software where you can setup special ringtones for each contact off of the sd card. I have C2P but it is not working for me.

I'm also interested in finding something that works with assigning wma files to each contact and off the sd card. If anyone has figured this out please let us know. To bad caller2picture isn't working, if it gets fixed please let us know.

As for the MP3 question that is asked over and over again. It's really not hard to convert files to wma, so why the need for mp3 ability?
