i know how to change the backlight settings on a smartphone, but lately my backlight on my laptop has been acting funny. i think its a physical issue inside of the machine, but anyway is there anyway for Windows Xp to control a computers backlight setting, or more specifically, is there a way to disable the backlight turning off in windows xp? thanxs in advance!

On a Dell, you press the Blue FN button and then click the up and down arrows to adjust the brightness level, I am guessing you have a similar thing on yours but I am not sure where. Look for a symbol that looks like a sun or something like that in the off color that is on your function key.
