Anyone having problems with their voice mail speed dial? I get an error when I try to use it. And I can't edit this speed dial location on the phone because it's locked. Any ideas?

Yes, I think it had to do with the fact that I used the instructions that came with my phone (I'm a cell phone newbie). These instructions are 'generic' and apply to standard cell phones (so said the manager at my local AT&T store). The guy at the AT&T store fiddled around with it, assigned the number to 2 instead of 1. When I got it home, I still had problems and fiddled around with it some more. don't know what I did, but at least speed dialing '1' works now.

Now I just need to figure out how to change my voice greeting and password (the guy at the store reset it). Very disappointing, the phone doesn't come with very good instructions on voice mail.

You need to adjust this in your phone settinngs in the Programs menu, in there look in 1-Telephony > 3-Call Options > Voice Mail Number

This works...somehow I had some phone number from the 815 area code in my voicemail number box...I changed it and it works fine...

also...the manual doesn't seem to cover this but to add a pause to the voicemail number just inset the letter "p" (without quotes).

That 815 number is in every phone for some reason when they are factory set.

Thor,

Thank you so much, I swear I read the manual twice trying to find the "Pause" & "Wait" characters. I did find that I could add a "Pause" or "Wait" from the menu when editing my contact list, unfortunetly it wasn't a menu option for the voice mail number.

Appreciate the help.
Greg
