I usually keep the phone in normal mode and have it set to vibrate + ring, and this used to work fantastically. However, my MPx200 stopped vibrating all together about 2 weeks ago. I have tried setting it to silent mode as well as meeting mode to see if either of those made a difference, but they did not.

My setup is an MPx200 with Windows Mobile 2002 and the orginal ROM. I'm even an AT&T customer so I have not had to even unlock the phone. In short, I have done no MODS and my phone is as close to the factory build as possible.

Has anyone else experienced this problem, and/or know of any fixes?

Thanks!
B

Based on the little amount of tinkering you have done, I would guess it is a harware problem. There is a little motor in the phone that spins to create the vibrate. It is possible that motor died.

Since the phone is pretty much "clean" under Cingular's standards, I would just send it back and get a new one through them, if possible. I think it's just easier that way than having to deal with the company themselves.

Oh yeah, you will most likely have to return it unless you are good with a solder and know how to get around the internals of that phone. If you ARE good with the solder, then I would just get a cheap vibrator from some other phone and see if it fits there; that's if it uses the same motor.
