I dropped by an ATT phone store to check out accessories. A salesman came over to talk to me. I showed him my Mpx200 and said that I was already a customer of ATT. He asked what I liked about the Mpx200. I said that I like most the ability to sync with Outlook. He said, "It can do that?" I explained how it worked and said that the phone can play video and audio. He said, "Really? How does that work?" I played a movie trailer and song for him. He was shocked. "What else can it do?" I said, "It can act as a modem." Again with mouth wide open, he said "You mean you ca use to connect to the Internet?" After a few more minutes, I had to leave. The undeducated help in the stores is typical of ATT.

I remember when I went to an ATTWS store to get accesories for mine, little did they know at the time it was on T-mobile, anywho thats besides the point, 2 out of the 3 "salesmen" had never even heard of it or seen it and were impressed as your retardo "salesmen" was, anyway these smart smart people proceeded to ask their manager if they sold accessories for it. The manager told me no they stopped carrying it because the phone was CDMA only and they fazed it out. This is when I stood confused for a moment. I said actually, its a GSM phone, and reguardless you guys dont even use CDMA, you have TDMA and GSM. The manager said that it was too flawed and no one could get it to work. I responded with, actually its incredibly easy and incredibly powerful and great phone, the manager brushed it off and said yea but its completly obsolete now. I said only on your crappy service, which is why I have t-mobile, so do you have accessories or not?.....pause from the manager....no we dont. Heh god I dont miss the genious people at ATTWS.

I always love going in there and talking to the dumb. My favorite ATTWS Store idiot quote was when I was told "The MPx200 is just like the Motorola T721 but bigger and chunkier, you are better off getting the 721."

They never seem to realize that I know more about their phones and plans (and future) than all 4 employees combined know.

I like to toss out certain questions to them and watch them dance around with some BS answer. Then it is fun to watch them squirm once they get called on the BS. Like Sean, it seems that many of the customers know more about their phones and plans then the actual reps do...
