I have all the settings done right. MMS works, PIE works just fine, I can browse to any website I want. But when I install another program that needs access to the internet, they don't work. IE: MSN Messenger, Pocket MSN, Agile Messenger, Mini Opera, IM+, etc etc. Is there any way around this? Or am I just stuck with it?

Edit:

Some extra info, that may or may not be useful, it is running Windows Mobile 2003se

under Data Connections in the Settings menu I have it set up like this:
Internet Connection - T-Mobile GPRS
Work Connection - Auto
WAP Connection - T-Mobile WAP
Secure WAP Connection - Auto

Under GPRS Connections I have:
T-Mobile GPRS:
Connects to - The Internet
Access point - internet2.voicestream.com
username -
password -
Primary DNS - 216.155.175.40
Secondary DNS - 216.155.175.170
IP Address -

T-Mobile WAP:
Connects to - The Internet
Access Point - wap.voicestream.com
username -
password -
Primary DNS - 0.0.0.0
Secondary DNS - 0.0.0.0
IP Address -

And under Proxy Connections:
T-Mobile Proxy:
Connects From - The Internet
Connects To - WAP Network
Proxy (name:port) - 216.155.165.50:9201
Type - WAP
user name -
password -

And in PIE under options->connections I have automatically detect settings unticked and the network is on WAP Network

Do you have the more expensive internet plan, or T-Zones? You have the internet2.voicestream.com AP which suggests the full internet, but also have the wap.voicestream.com AP which suggests T-Zones. If you have the full internet plan this is indeed very strange. If you have T-Zones that is most likely the problem. If you do have T-Zones, delete the settings with the internet2.voicestream.com AP, it doesn't work with T-Zones and could be causing the problem if the other programs are trying to use it to gain internet access.

I have the unlimited data plan for 5.99. Is there another more expensive one?

Yes. That one is the same as the old $4.99 T-Zones plan, and is limited in what you can do with it. Delete the settings with the internet2 AP, that may be interfering with the other programs you're trying to run. The $5.99 plan doesn't work with that AP. If you want full, unhindered access you need the $29.99 internet plan. It's kind of annoying though, T-Mobile used to charge $19.99 for it, but have since added the wifi hotspots to it and now charge you more. If you want the same thing without the hotspot addition, and only $19.99/month, change your phone on the T-Mobile website to a Blackberry and sign up for the $19.99 internet plan. You can use the same settings you have above, but use the wap.voicestream.com instead of internet2. That should allow all programs to work, not just the ones that can access the proxy.

If I understood the following post right, the guy gets more than just T-Zones web sites but only pays for T-Zones. I don't know if his settings (which he has posted there) are different from yours and if they'll make the other programs work as hoped. But, it might be worth taking a look.
