"Wireless" sent this to me this morning: QUOTE TMOBILE has posted the long awaited ROM (ver 2.26) for the MDA USA. It contains a Radio Fix addressing the searching, signal acquirring issue as well as A2DP. Remember, you need a Fully Charged MDA before you get started, and make sure your PC will not go into Hibernate during the install. Also, on a personal experience note, I had a 3-5 minute pause when I got to 85%. Just as I began to worry, it picked back up. You never want to disturb the process or disconnect the cable. Complete instructions are included in the ROM Upgrade. The upgrade is available from : http://www.t-mobileapps.com/downloadcenter...etail.cfm?id=80Enjoy. The new COMM Manager is the first new feature that jumps out at you, CHECK IT OUT! I have downloaded the update but not installed it. Has anyone tried it yet?

I did notice an issue with the data setup. The default data connection is to wap.voicestream.com so if you have their unlimited plan you will need to manually change that to internet3.voicestream.com.

Wireless said "It contains a Radio Fix addressing the searching, signal acquirring issue". What is the "searching, signal acquirring issue". I'm curious 'cuz I had a problem with my MPx220 that I would describe with those words and am wondering if it's the same thing? My problem was fixed by changing the ROM (to Asian 3.45) also.

Interesting. I set mine back to WAP.voicestream.com and it connects to my Exchange server via HTTPS. Interesting because that never worked before.

Interesting because that never worked before. - yeah, T-mo activated connecting via wap.voicestream.com quite awhile ago and it was Ed Hansberry who clued me in on that change. Up to last November, I was still switching between internet2 and internet3, but Ed has said he was able to swtich over to wap in 2004. All my devices work fine on wap.voicestream.com and I haven't had to switch back since.

Push is for Exchange 2003 SP2 accounts ONLY. The E icon indicates you are in an EDGE coverage area. Yes, internet3. works great IF you have the unlimited VPN data plan.

I just tried bandwidthplace.com and had 324.5 kbs. I thought I should do better than that with EVDO.

Are you still using activesync 4.0 ? you need 4.1 after the update.
