WAMPAD - A New Mobile Search Engine
Say hello to WAMPAD. It's a new mobile search engine that is in testing. It's designed to minimize data entry and maximize usefuleness. And it does a good job, fast! Try it: http://wampad.com/

WAMPAD has a few things going for it. For one thing, it leverages multiple search engines like Google, Yahoo, and MSN. But what makes WAMPAD most interesting is it uses pick-list categories to contextualize and reduce the amount of information you need to enter to get useful results. For example, select the pick-list item "Movies" and all you need to do is enter a zip code to see top movies and nearby theatres. Select "Weather" and the same zipcode now gives you local weather.

Pick-list categories include: stocks, weather, horoscopes, wikipedia, patent, lottery and flight information. It looks like it also uses integrated the UPC database for price comparisons using Froogle and Yahoo Shopping. Finally, it can find mobile viewable versions of Myspace, Flickr, or del.icio.us profiles if you enter a username.

Curious to try it out? Click here.
