As Sean posted yesterday the hints of PayPal Mobile are true. You can sign up and register your phone to send payments for virtually anything. But is it ready for prime time?

This morning I decided to try out PayPal Mobile. The setup seemed pretty simple: put in your phone number and wait for the phone to ring. Easy, right?

As you can see, I got the message that my phone should be receiving a phone call within 5 minutes. Clicking the link to Check Call In Progress says the phone call is still queued. After about one minute I get this:

Interesting since I have a 4 bar signal right now. So I tried several times with the same results. After the fifth or sixth time I got a security notice:

Eventually I got a new error message telling me I don't have a US or Canada phone number...

So what is your experience? Has PayPal released Mobile too soon?

Well I finally got it to work. Perhaps their system was overloaded this morning, or maybe they made some changes but it appears as though I got my phone all set up.
