Hey there everybody. The more I use this phone the more I find minor issues with it.

Does anybody occasionally hear a loud "static" or "dead" air sound while on a phone call. I heard it a couple times. Once I switched from BT headset to speaker phone to just handset and I could hear it all in all of them. It was loud enough even my GF could hear it during our conversation.

Another thing, when I put on my headset, the profile doesn't switch over to Headset, it remains on Normal.

If nobody else is having these problems then maybe I have a defective phone.

Or maybe a ROM update is in need?

I've not experienced anything like the static or dead air problem you describe.

After reading your reply, I was convinced that it was the phone.

So, I bought a Plantronics 640E. I LOVE it and that static sound is longer there. However, when I shut off the headset and just use the handset, that static sound is there. So, I just gave up and did a hard reset. Now, its not there or at least very, very subtle. If that loud sound comes back then I'll just return. I am still in that 30-day window.
