Symantec already has Antivirus apps for Symbian, PocketPC, and Palm. They are working on Smartphone OS as well. |

QUOTE PROBLEM SOLVED: You must press it REALLY HARD!! It works EVERY TIME Now!!!! Hey, good one! I can get it to work everytime now. However after testing 5 times, my thumb is pretty sore. You really have to press Hard. I think if you press hard, you hit the 'trigger' in the middle. Thanks! |

QUOTE Is there a way to reassign the 'record' functionality to some other button? Do anyone know of any registry hacks for this? It really sucks to have the voice dial functionality and not being able to use it! Yes, just assign a quick dial to it. For example, if I press and hold 5, the voice record comes up. I can't stand the jog dial. Even when I don't use it, it for some reason touches something and tries to turn down the volume. Grrrr. |

The number is not necessarily from your same area code, rather from the same area. My phone has 818 (L.A.) area code, but voice mail is 213 (Another area code from L.A.) |

I just visited. All the links appear broken. They are linking to smartphone2000.tv, which throws a 404. |

Ok, you can pre-order, but the 'Check Out' process does not work. Nothing like a company that does not want to take my Money. BTW, the SanDisk card is $389, about $110 less than other suggested retail.
However, I cannot seem to find the Transfer rate. I've searched the site, but could find no mention. Any one else know the xfer rate? Maybe why it is so cheap? |

Sandisk Producing 1GB SD Card News By: pdaBlast! Staff January 8, 2004
According to PCWorld, Sandisk will be announcing that it is already producing a 1GB SD Card. That's right, 1GB! Until now the largest capacity in the SD format has been 512mb.
SanDisk's 1 GB SD card is expected to cost $500. It is expected to be available by the end of this month.
The 1GB card should be able to accommodate around 2000 images taken at 1,600-pixel by 1,200-pixel resolution. It should also be able to store about nine hours of MPEG4 video or 16 hours of MP3 audio.
SanDisk originally announced this card last year with a launch date expected to be in the third quarter of 2004 but the release was delayed. |

Yes! I think the wait is almost over: Here's a post from: http://www.pdalive.com/forums/printthread....p?threadid=5164First 1GB SD cards coming this month -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Posted by meiam on 01-08-2004 04:15 PM: SanDisk has begun production of 1 GB Secure Digital memory cards. The cards are to be announced at the Consumer Electronics Show running at the moment in Las Vegas. First SD cards able to hold one GB of data are slated to be available in your nearest store by the end of this month. According to PC World, a spokesperson for SanDisk said the company expects the cards to cost around $500. Just imagine what such a card could accommodate. It is really capable to hold lots of mp3 songs and yet provide enough free space for pictures and video clips. If everything goes that smooth, in the nearest future we won’t have problems with insufficient memory card space at all. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- All times are GMT. The time now is 02:05 AM. |

Wow, I would disagree. I've had a few phones with AT&T, and the MPx200 has equal to or better than all of them, even the ones with anntenae. In the 'Valley' of LA, AT&T has by far the best reception, Verizon is a close second, and the rest are all hit and miss depending on what block you are on. |

I just checked coolsmartphone.com and the page opened in English. Logon (create an account if you do not) then search for NES Emulator. I got mine there and it works great. |

I've heard of one trick to get the speakerphone to work while closed. Sorry, forgot where, but it is somewhere here in the forum. This trick is a bit complicated:
1. Open Phone, start Speakerphone 2. Insert Headphone 3. Close Phone 4. Remove Headphone. When removing headphone, phone reverts back to previous profile, which is Speakerphone.
Too much work for me though. I just leave it open. |

QUOTE Will this card work on the mx200?
www.mobileplanet.com/product.asp?src=IRFND&dept_id=5040&pf_id=MP580214 Yes, it would work, however you will need drivers specifically for the Smartphone software and/or the MPX200 to get it to be of any use. Currently, there are no drivers for SD/IO cards that I know of. |

Yes, you can play MP3's. Nothing fancy needed there. Media Player that comes with the Phone works on MP3's great. I found PocketMusic to be a better app at playing MP3's, and has much better controls. |

I've found many apps to download, however many of them cannot install. When I try to execute on WinXP, I get the following error: "application.exe is not a valid Win32 application"When I try on Win2K, I get this error: "application.exe is valid, but is for a machine type other than the current machine."For example, I cannot install SmartNES http://smartphone.modaco.com/viewtopic.php?t=4149Any ideas? |

QUOTE Hi,
I couldn't find anything by searching by airplane. Is there a way to turn off just the phone functions and still use the PDA functions on the MPX200? I hope so as I use my Ipaq on the plane quite a bit.
Thanks,
Dave A very quick way - Hit the power button on the side. Then pick Airplane mode from the menu. |

I just purchased Pocket Mini Golf. It works extremely well, and is very 'smartphone enabled'. Very easy to use, many options. Not sure it is work the $12, but it's fun. http://www.handango.com/PlatformSearch.jsp...2&platformId=11 |

Actually, doesn't the MPx200 only support up to 1GB? |
