Yes, of course I have.
Some more news: I tried to open the "Remove programs" application, and after about 15 minutes it actually did start. The phone was not laging anymore while browsing through the menus, and it appeared to work. I started the SPStudio and backed up the SMSs and the contacts, but after attempting to close the phone-side part of the software, it started acting the same way it did before. Upon reflection, the first crash followed the attempt to close (using the back button) the CommMan application (SPStudio), as well.

Hard reset pending. The problem seems to be solved, now.

Immediately after my MPx200 powers up, I get the following alert: "Your phone is running low on free storage space. Delete old or unused items to create more space." I can navigate through the basic menus, but when I try to start even the simplest application, the eggtimer shows up, spins for a while and dissapears, leaving the frozen menu screen on with the application's name in the title bar. Microsoft active sync is trying to connect, but to no avail. I cannot remove any applications or delete SMSs to free some space or check the amount of free space available. As you might have guessed, I have got very important contacts and somewhat less important messages on my phone, so the master reset option would be the last resort. I've been reading about a soft reset (I'm guessing that's just a restart), but the procedure described (hold the blue button, power on) starts the master reset. Oh, and the battery indicator is stuck at the exclamation mark, even though it switches to the charging one when I plug the USB cable in.

Has anyone got any idea how am I to deal with this without losing my precious data?

Cheers, Djordje.
