I have seen a deal from SoloMobile giving out a free MotoQ for signing for 3-yo contract. I will go for their 20-unbeatable plan ($20/month for 100min daytime, unlimited nights and weekends, plus there is NO monthly access fee and 911 call fees).

I don't plan on getting a data plan at the moment, is the Q still useful without a data plan?

A 3 year contract! And I thought 2 years was a really long contract (I just finished my first 2 year contract, always had 1 year prior to this). The Q is still useful as an organizer, and for sending SMS. If you aren't going to use any of the offline features, like Calander, Contacts sync with Outlook, etc., there are probably some better choices.

Well if it works for you...do it! 3 years is a long time. If you need a smart phone to help organize your life...wouldn't be a bad idea! smile.gif
