I Am Just Wondering About This Phone In General. For The people that own it: Pros and Cons. What do you Guys think of the phone and is it worth the wait for verizon. For Verizon People. Does anybody Have any info about this phone at all as in a releas date or true specs (this could even come from anybody that already own it). There isn't many forums on this phone (2 or 3 on the two phone forums i post on).

There's really very little info available about this phone. It's already been released in Canada on Telus as the HTC S720, so you could probably find more information searching for that. There is a review available here for some good comparison photos. I haven't heard any definite dates for a VZW release, but it should be coming pretty soon here.

WOW...520+ views, 1 Reply. There really isn't much info on this phone is there? Or is it that nobody really cares for the phone?

Well it is not the best looking phone out there (my opinion) and the specs are OK.

Ya I Can See what your saying. The Specs are somewhat better than the samsung SCH-I760 but every phone has it's ups and downs. I Like how small it is that is why i was wondering on when it would be available. im not a big fan of having a full qwerty on the front. (ie blackjack, palm, Q) that's why i amd looking at this phone. and im real hesitant about a touch screen while im in a call (I760, 6700, 6800).

My understanding is the SMT5800 will be REV A capable. that is a nice advantage if you plan to us the phone as a modem. Great to see Verizon putting out the Windows Mobile devices.

I Finally got it.

Logged onto my verizon account and checked to see if they had the phone and indeed they did (with their im now assuming standard price glitch) the phone originally is 349.99 so...

$349.99
-$100.00 Online Discount
-$100.00 New Every Two
-$100.00 Advance Device Discount
_________
$49.99 Sub-total
+ $3.00 Tax
_________
$52.99 Total

the glitch is in the online and NE2 discounts. your not supposed to have both just one or the other...

Can't beat that. My Only Question is With my plan if i get unlimited data for surfing the web or just email and what not. We'll see and when i get the phone then i'll call verizon and deal with that ****

Keep in mind this is my first Smartphone.

So now that i have had the phone for a day and a half and had some time to play with it just an over view. personally i think this is a great smartphone for someone that doesn't want some big bulkey phone in their pocket. the screen is decent size (2.4") although the d-pad and front numberkeys ar a little smaller than i would have liked. Had some problems syncing to my computer at first (my fault probably new to this) but really nice phone. The one thing i absolutely hate is the fact that there is NO cover over the microSD slot. (haven't lost my card yet. nock on wood). Internet seems to be pretty good. i was surfing around all day while at work and could go just about anywhere. (couldn't log into one of my online banking accounts) everything else seems to work nicely. I think verizon has a winner with this phone. the only thing i haven't figured out with WM6 is how to set a list of icons on the top instead of them just showing up and going away when you use (or don't use) a program. Any help would be appreciated. And yes by the way according to the specs the phone is Rev A upgradable.

If any one has any questions feel free to ask me (or pm me) and i'll try to answer them.
