I have had nothing but problems with my 64k chip. I have had nothing but problems for the past 6 months. Ever since I upgraded to this new 64 k chip.

I am in the Sacramento, CA area. I had excelent service with my 64 k chip in texas this past week.

QUOTE (Slacker @ Aug 15 2005, 11:44 AM)
With previous WM devices this has helped SOMe people:

1) Fully charge phone
2) Hard reset
3) Fully charge phone
4) Hard reset
5) Fully charge phone
Basically it is believed that a hard reset puts a cap on battery life at the battery's level at the time of the reset. If the battery has no charge at the hard reset you can expect to have no battery life. Obiously I can't guarantee this will work but it's worth a shot.

If you don't want to have to keep rebuilding your phone with all the hard resets, check out Sprite Backup which you can buy from Sprite Software (their site appears down at the moment). Well worth the $$$.

Ill have to check it out. Thanks for the info I will give it a try tonight.

So I have had my phone for about a month now and love it. The other morning I notice my phone was off. I never turn off my phone and after turning it on I get the error low battery. I charge it up completely and don’t use it much that day. Less then 5 min talking. The next morning the phone dead. WTF. So again I charge it and leave it in the charger for a good 24 hrs. Today I unlugged my phone at 7am and took it to work. I have not made a single call on it and my battery is at 85\90% after 4hrs.

Any ideas? Can I recalibrate the battery or something? Has this happened to anyone else?

It was new in box after trading in my MPX220

Im curious if its worth the switch. I recently bought a MPX220 on ebay and love it, but I have the abiltiy to switch up to the Audiovox, but should I?

I love the ability to sync with exchange which I have read reviews that its hard to on this phone. I am also concerned with the small joystick buttons. I don't have big fingers or anything but the pictures makes it look small.

How is typing on it compared to the MPX220.

This is my first flip phone and I kinda like it but I have noticed the newer smartphones aren't flip so maybe I shouldn't get used to it.

So for those of you who had a MPX220 and now have a 5600. are you happy with the switch?

RESOLVED!!

So why might you ask. Yea I am wondering that also.
In IIS on the Exchange FE server I went the active sync folder in IIS went to properties and under security I changed it from Accept Client Certificates to Ingnore Client Certificates. I already have Require Secure channel SSL selected so its still secure.

So I called cingular due to my current sync issue and they basicly said we will send you a replacment, call this number and they will get your info and send you one out.
They said they are now replacing MPX220 for the Audiovox PPC4100

just and FYI

Ok I am slowly learning more, but still with the same issue. I figured out if I just go into the phone and change the network settings from Automatic to Internet it will work good for about 1 hr then I switch it back and I have another hour.....a temp solution....but it works.

Any ideas? Its like the phone caches something and changing the smallest thing allows it to connect for a little bit, then the cache fills back up or soemthing. I did try clearing all the IE cache and that didn't have any affect

Any ideas?

Ok I have found more that hopefully will help. My work exchange server is using SSL and form based authentiation, which microsoft says won't work unless you have a Front End server which I do. So yesterday I did a master reset on the phone, reloaded 1.43 cingular and syncing worked great most of the day. Later that evening it required me pushing sync 2 to 3 time to get it synced. Later on it took even more. So I then pointed my phone to my personal exchange 2003 server, works great. So I switched it back to my work exchange 2003 server and it worked perfectly for about 4-5 hrs. Now I am required to push it 2-3 time in order to sync.

Its like something it building up then it stops until you delete the connection and start over.

Any Ideas?

Hello,
I am new to the whole smartphone thing. I have a Cingular MPX220 and love it. I have set my phone to sync with my works Exchange 2003 server. I found a much easier way to set everything up check out this link.

https://www.mywindowsmobile.com

You just go to this site fill in the info and it sends everything to your phone. No setup on the phone is required.

But I have a problem. It synced up great the first few times but now it will only successfully sync if I keep clicking sync 10-20 times. The error is...

Synchronization failed. Try again later.

Error code: HTTP_100

Any ideas?

Thanks
