so i've had the SMT5600 for about 1 and a half years. after a while i bought a 2nd battery for it so i could keep a backup and swap them out. this has been working great until....

recently i noticed that each time i take the main battery out, the time/date gets reset. i don't lose any other data, but have to re-adjust the time each time it happens.

any idea as to why? and what i can do about it? i'm guessing the internal battery (if there is one) might be dead, or something...

thanks in advance,

johnty

when you pull the battery have you shut down the device properly or do you just pull the battery?

I found that if I just pull the battery, I lose the time/date, if I shut down normally, it works fine.

It's the internal battery that's at fault, most phones of that age will now have this problem ( I know mine has)
