Rumors are running around the internet faster than Paris Hilton's stolen phone book, but no one seems to know the answer to the question: "What is Microsoft's Origami project?" Is it the Xbox portable? http://www.newsfactor.com/story.xhtml?story_id=41290? It is a re-newed "http://www.flipstartpc.com/default.asp"? Heck, even these pictures are rumored to be fakes!
One thing is for sure, we will know more March 2nd. http://www.origamiproject.com/1/.
Is the secret out? PocketPC Thoughts dug up a branding video for the Origami Project. To see it, click here: http://www.d-kitchen.com/main.html Then...

10 years ago, this was pure science fiction.
Update: seems the "Microsoft Origami" link was brought down by MS last night. Hope you saw it before then. The other rumored news is that the pictures of the Origami device are of the concept, and not the finished item. Phew! I'm not sure how lime-green would have fitted into my mobile lifestyle...
I watched the video last night, but am still confused on what exactly the Origami is. It looks like yet another pseudo-mobile MS platform. Not quite a tablet, not quite a PPC, not quite a HPC. It left me wondering, do we need another format? Is it going to be running Windows, Windows CE, or some other weird software? Anyone know? Myabe it said near the end of the video, I got bored of watching people use it so I closed the video before the end.
Yeah - I'm looking forward to the March 2 announcement to get a few of these questions cleared up.
it's powered by Windows XP Embedded
Will it change your life? Very serious whatever it is.
The week 2 video is up at the site: Now the date is 3/9 to find out more.
