WMDC in Vista doesn't work with MPx200. No clue what the problem is. Tried to reinstall the modem drivers, but can't...

I am not sure which Vista version you are using but check out this thread towards the bottom. With Vista launching we will be looking at the new issues as they come up.

You can try the following way (funny but works):
1. Connect the phone as a modem to PC
2. Install device as ZyXEL 56K USB (it's included in Vista, but sometimes it does not work from the first attempt). I know the case when the guy managed to do it only while the 6th attempt.
3. Disconnect device, make reboot (PC)
4. Connect device and update driver with the one attached.

It should work.

Thanks! Trying now. Just for the record, I am using a legally licensed version of Vista Business.

Windows Mobile Device Center in Vista has worked fine with my MPx200 with both WM2003 and WM5 installed.

The device just cannot start (code 10). I've also tried the Zyxel way suggested by AndrewSh, it won;t let me update the drivers to one attached...

I don't know what you're talking about. All I did was plug the device in... I don't think it found the drivers automatically, so after going through the process, it let me choose a directory to install the drivers from. I picked c:\windows (the drivers should already come with Windows), and then Windows found all the drivers fine, and the phones works without a problem.

Hi Toad,

I plugged in the device and it found the drivers, and then complains that the device cannot start. AndrewSh suggested another way to do it, and i was saying that didn't work either. Which version of vista are you using? Ultimate?
