Very good point and I completely agree. You have to know where you are to know what map(s) to load.

which is impossible considering the size of those maps cover like..... five minutes of my trip. Has anyone tried 06 streets and trips?

reason is they have "Autoroute GPS" listed in the privacy policy when you install pocket streets.

Another vote for Mapopolis. I've never tried the other programs, but Mapopolis is a great program. It seems to be the best price for the program, and you can use the trial on their site to see if you like it. There are GPS programs, like Pocket Streets and Trips, that will just give you a dot where you are on the map, but most programs will give you navigation as well.

Damn.... I was hoping that 06 streets and trips gave you navigation!

I have 144 visits inputed into streets and trips at home.

Repair the device to the computer and when it asks you to set your computer as a handsfree device select NO.

I tried this route and it didnt work because it didnt give the option.

I had to find the profile in the bluetooth controller and disable it.

you can't use mp3 as rings, you can only use wav and midi...which sucks

not really when you just use an easy program to convert it to wav. then load it into a folder on your memory card called "my documents" and then the phone will recognize it.

Verizon is a CDMA carrier but I believe they use a difference frequency.
*

Oi.

Ok,
CDMA is on this side of the street.

GSM is over here~~~~~~~~~~~~~>

they dont mingle.

Sprint, Alltel, Verizon, USCellular are CDMA carriers.
40% of verizons network is sprints, there is digital and analog.

Cingular, ATTws, Tmobile are GSM.

The MPX200 does not work with ATTws and Cingular because they run on 850 band in some areas and the mpx200 does not support the 850 band.

I have a few people from different forums that I have already proposed a group buy to.

Nam,
We need to get in touch so we can discuss a consumer grade product sample because there are customers requesting a 1gb consistently but as with everyone on here as well as myself, dealing internationally is a worry due to the high rate of scams nowadays.

QUOTE (Canuck @ Feb 15 2005, 09:17 PM)
I've generally been happy with my MPX200 but I'm moving back to Canada at the end of month.  My problem is that Cingular doesn't have a presence in Canada so they told me I can either pay the $175 cancellation cost (I have 1 year left on the contract) or I can pay another $10 a month for a National plan but I'll have to use a US area code (i.e. my current phone number).

If they could provide me with a local phone number I wouldn't care, but with their National plan people are going to have to call a long distance number to contact me.  Anyone have any experience cancelling the AT&T / Cingular contracts or know a loophole since they can't really provide me with proper service?

Thanks.
*

im going to canada, here's my utility bill to prove im here. When they pull the whole america plan then tell em why should you pay more when you signed up to them for local service and phone number, since you (cingular) cannot provide that then you are in breach of contract.

MPx200 - LIKE new. very well maintained.
1GB SD Card - NEVER used, still in plastic hanging packaging
Belt clip - never used
Car Charger - never used

The card itself is about 70 bucks or soish. The phone is branded AT&T, but can be unlocked for a relatively small fee i believe for any service.

Well, I could see how it may be possible.  There are plenty of PPC's without USB host function that can connect to a GPS device through their sync port.  It could possibly work similarly with the MPx200.  It would take a lot of special drivers, cables, and who knows what else though.  I doubt it will ever work.

plus even with a driver winmob wouldnt support a mouse anyways.

http://www.howardforums.com/showthread.php...15&pagenumber=2

some info.

"I got the GPS unit with my MS S&T 2005 (on the right) and bought the bluetooth adapter (on the left) and I was up and running no problem. "
"
The GPS reciever came bundled with MS S&T 2005 (included a usb cable to connect to your computer) price was $130, but I saw it over the holidays for cheaper. The bluetooth adapter was $100 with 20 dollar mail in rebate. It came with a USB charging cable that has two outputs, one for the adapter, and one for your PDA. So basicly a GPS solution for about $200. Now I've been doing some research into the Copilot for smartphone which looks to be more of what I'm looking for and Bengleboy seems to love the copilot software, but just the software is $250. For now I will make due with the MS S&T. Maybe eventually I will get the copilot."
