I came into a second MPX200 so I finally decided to upgrade this one to WM2003. Went pretty smooth but had a few questions:

1. I've seen a GSM fix talked about and wondering if I need it? I used a file named Motorola MPX200 2003 OS.img to flash it.
2. Any way to delete multiple contacts? Can I select several and delete at once.

Overall it seems to work great but only been using it for a day...

Thanks for the help!!

1. Really you only need it if you are having problems connecting to GSM or GPRS. I never did flash it when I used 2003, but if you start getting problems go for it.

2. Sync with Outlook using Activesync. You can delete multiple contacts in Outlook very easily, then it will sync them to your phone and remove them from there. There isn't any way to do it from the phone though.

Great idea about using activesync. Any way to remove multiples from the SIM?

Also when I flashed I did not have my SD card installed. Can I just put it in and use it or do I need to do anything else to it? If I upgrade my other MPX200 to WM2003 should I do it with the SIM and SD card installed? I did this one without either installed.

Thanks again

You could get Jeyo Mobile Companion, which would basically work like Outlook for your SIM contacts. You can sync and remove them from your PC with it. Flashing without the SD inserted is fine with 2003.

Does it matter if the sim is in when flashing to WM2003?

I honestly don't remember. I think I always left it in the phone and didn't have a problem.
