Thanks a lot for the info! I was able to sucessfully pair my MPx220 with the AT&T 1.43 ROM to my Holux GR-230 BT GPS. I set both values to 1, the COM port to 6, and the Baud Rate to the designated 9600 that the manual included with the receiver stated it should be set at. I'm using Mapopolis as well. Works like a charm, thanks a lot.

Has anyone been able to get BT GPS and BT Activesync running on a phone? I am able to get one or the other, but it seems that the serial port setup is conflicting between the two. I can't seem to get both. Any help would be great.

Sorry Smeg nothing to offer, I sync via cable (for now).
Well I finally got my GPS10! I am currently running demo Maps on Mapopolis. I have the generic Moto 1.43 Firmware.
Cool program, but there are a minor few bugs to work out. Has anyone else had these problems?
In Mapopolis GPS Options: I repeatedly set the GPS Port to Com6 and it always seems to default back to Auto. Auto doesn't ever find the GPS.
In Mapopolis GPS Options: If I don't set the Port to Com6, when I hit start GPS it sort of locks up. It goes from not running to stopping.
Today, while using a stored route and GPS Navigating, I hit the down button to scroll the map back to where I came from, the screen flashed a brickwall looking pattern and Mapop shut down.
In the BT SerialPortSetup the Outbound COM port: checkbox clears itself occasionally. Not with every reboot and sometimes without a reboot???
Wasn't there a registry setting to change with 1.3? What was that for?

QUOTE (GrYph0n® @ Jul 9 2005, 12:07 PM) Don't worry too much about Mapopolis, that is a pretty old version designed before GPS was a REAL possibility on a WM Smartphone. However I have been beta testing with them for the last six months, and there will be a final release VERY soon and for those of you that have been using Mapopolis, you will be completly amazed. I am planning to order a Map Pack this week, will they be used on the new version? Will it stii be free? I was also trying to find a Demo Pocket Streets for Smartphone, any such thing? For comparison sake.

As far as I have been informed, the program itself will remain free, it is only the map packs that cost. I belive for the Nav pack it is close to $100 for a years access to the maps, but the maps will continue to work even after the subscription is up, you just won't be able to download any more maps unless you renew your subscription.
