Battery draining very fast and phone very warm on my HTZ Fuze.

This is very annoying. If I go to check on my data connection settings on my HTC Fuze seconds later the setting turns on by its self. So if by accident I come across the data connection menu, my phones drains the power very fast. Why does it want to be on all the time and how can I set it to be off presently. I don’t see the use for it. All of my internet features works find with out it.
Thanks

I was hoping some one could answer a question for me.
I have the Diginet PDA software working on the 8125 over the AT&T network.
I am able to view the WebDVR over the internet on the 8125.
Can you tell me what are my choices of pda smart phone that are currenty on the market that will work with that program/application if any? I tried installing the program on to my BlackJack I but it would not permit the program installation.
I was thinking about buying the BlackJack III do you think it will be able to view the WebDvr program?

I try to get the experts from the support to help me with this challenge but it seen they
all left for the Holidays.

I successfully Backup my Blackjack I Window MOBILE 5 with the Sprite
program v6.0 just in case I ran into a problem before I attempted a
free upgrade to WM6. I am just holding on until my contract expires next year to get the Blackjack 3.

Everything when smoothly with the upgrade and my phone works great with wm6.
Expect that my GPS blue tooth device is now not compatible with this Blackjack version.

So instead for throwing money away on a new blue tooth device, I try to do a restore to the old wm5.

So after re-installing the sprite program on my phone I received an automatic upgrade from sprite to 6.2 . Thanks but no thanks because now in my attempt to do a restore
I get this error that says:
(The selected backup was created using a different
Version of Sprite Backup. ( 6.1.0, Build and is incompatible with your
Current version 6.2.2, Build 2280. ) Apparently Sprite upgraded their programs and
now I need their previous version of Sprite so it will be compatible with the old backup Sprite version on my phone.
Help.

I am having the same problem. No speaker phone, music, ring tones, media net video only,no window media sound.
I prefer not doing a hard reset only as a last resort. My sprite program will not install untill the phone is unlock which
is another issue i am having with at&t. I was messing around the other day trying unsuccessfully to download some mp3 sounds
to the phone and i am afraid i screw something up. Is there a program that makes the sound work. I dont kown
if I add or deleted somthing how can I check?
I already recheck all the basic functions and thats the only thing not working. This phone can straight from at&t with no
ear phone so I dont know if thats working.
If you can help me.
Thanks.

Can someone help me put my setting back
So I can receive emails and use the internet?
I have a unlock cingular mpx220. I changed all
The settings 2 years ago for t-mobile.
Now I am back with At&t and the settings on
a hard reset does not work. The techs at at&t nor
the setting on their support page work. I never had it
with At&t before. If anyone can give me their setting
maybe it will work.
Thanks.

You will need to change your settings for data. Most other items like the voicemail dial number are downloaded from the network to the phone.

Thanks,
Can you explain how to change the settings for data?

I totally enjoy my mpx220 and I don’t have any reason to ever change it.
The only thing I have not figure out is why I am not able
To sent emails out. It sends me back a notification saying: "Subj: Invalid message
Recipients: Your message was not sent and has been moved to the drafts folder.
Recienpient are invalid.” If you can shine some light on this problem it would be sweet.
Thanks.

Recently I am getting a warning saying memory is low.
My phone doesn’t freeze up but I am concern it could become a problem.
I currently have 5.4 to 7.8 memory free depending if I am on the internet.
Why is this happening and how can I free up more memory.
Thanks

I just cancel my office fax line and subscribed to curve wave e-mail fax service.
I got to keep my fax number and I get all my faxes via email for a fraction the cost of a
land line. I need a pdf reader for my mpx220. I downloaded a free trail version that has
limited option and poor quality. If Anyone can recommend a good one. Thanks.

I was recommended opera 8 to access the web since internet explorer
on my mpx220 is good but limited to the internet.
I was very impress with the trial version going deep into the web sites.
So I purchased the program and it does not unlock or registers the program.
My trail version is about to expire and I would like to continue using this browser.
Support said to do a hard reset. But it did not work. They also said that a program might
be in conflic with the program and there is no sure it might work.
Can anybody help. Or is there a better working internet browser out there.

Now that I got my mpx220 working prefect and with new 2000mAh
Lion battery I no longer have to give it a break. It goes fast though
The internet, contact, e-mails, download, mms and text mess.
BTW, I can now dowload and watch my favorite movies with Smartphone Media Studio 2.5
Download Free Trial - Buy FULL version. http://www.makayama.com/
I try it with THE MATRIX the 1st one, which took all night to down load them, when I played it back no sound. ohmy.gif I read it happens with some movies
So now I first download a demo of the movie which plays for 3 min.
And takes about that long to down load before I do the long play.
I just did THE LOST CITY & NIGHTMARE BEFORE CHRISTMAS.
The volume is low so headphones are needed but the picture quality is
Excellent. Does anybody know a good and user friendly File Manager program?
Special Thanks to Mr. Runningtiger. biggrin.gif

I know this could be an old topic but just in case someone is interested.
After days of searching this forum and others, speaking to 3 levels of tech support
At t-mobile (btw I think they don’t want you to know or they just don’t know
what the settings are) and trying every combination. I finally found the data connection settings
On a web site to get you on the internet and tzones on the $5.99/month plan.
T-Mobile said my phone was not capable and I needed their phone or to upgrade my plan.
I purchased my mpx 220 on line with UK connections settings so I did not know where to start.
I now get tzone, goolgle, news, weather, web pages + more and my BellSouth e-mails + mmsc.
Not bad. This is why I went to T-Mobile.
I would be happy to post the link if anybody cares. I am in South Fl. And I read that the settings works in the USA.

Here is the link.
Good luck.

To go back you'd have to find a copy of the 1.28 ROM and the offline ROM update tool. You really wouldn't want to go back though. The 1.43 ROM fixed a lot of problems of previous ROMs. You won't be sorry if you update.

Edit-Topic moved to the MPx220 forum.

When I try to install the 1.43, the Microsoft update tool said that I had the latest rom version. So I guess there is no difference between 1.28 and 1.43?

As far as making your 220 perform better...I don't know what ROM you're using, but mine did MUCH better using Asian 3.45. There are others around here who swear by other ROMs. But, if you're not having a specific issue with the phone, it's probably best to leave well enough alone since flashing the ROM isn't for the timid. With the ROM that came on my 220 it would re-seek a tower two minutes after booting. Once it found the new tower, I could no longer make a GPRS connection. So, I dove into the deep end and gave ROM flashing a try. It was scarey when it didn't go perfect but, it turned out well. I've been curious about other ROMs but not enough to give it another go. But, we all have to get our feet wet sometime, and if you want to do it, there is lots of posts to help you along. However, remember, it could all go horribly wrong. laugh.gif You could end up with a brick if you're not careful or, if the phone (or your computer, or the connection between the two) misbehaves (the last one is the problem I had). ohmy.gif Smeg saved me, for which I am forever grateful!

What type of software does it use to diplay the video? Is it some kind of Java or ActiveX or something? I'd try out Opera and Thunderhawk to see if either of them can display it.

Not sure will look into it.
Thanks

My business Surveillance System is monitor through the internet so theoretically I should be able to
Get it on my mpx220 right? But when the software is automatically down loaded into my phone using my fixed internet ip address,
My phone says “This device "phone" does not support the program.
Has any body ever try this? On what phone or on what System.

If you have access to a card reader you can copy the contents of the 512 card onto a computer (make a folder on your desktop to copy everything into) then switch cards in the card reader and copy the contents of that folder onto the 1G card.

Cool.
Thanks for the short cut.Took 35 sec. to transfer my stuff to my new sd card.
I thought I would have to do it manually.Ha,HA.
Gracias again.

Thanks to all your Instructions on previous posting I can now access my T-zones. (Bought unlock mpx220 on eBay.)
I am only able to go to My Account, billing summary and current activity. I read here that I should be able be do some basic searches for free?.Google, yahoo etc. I get a menu of sites to go to but it said each call cost $1.49 plus airtime. Or $5.99 for more option, ring tones, games, email, news & unlimited mobile search.
Am I doing something wrong or is this service no longer free? Are my setting a little off?
Thanks again.

However, wasn't what brought this "beams" stuff up your concern about battery strength on your 220? Have you gone where I've directed you to on your 220 and verified the beam is indeed off?
[/quote]
Cool stuff this infrared / beams .Didn‘t know its application
Yes my 220 came with the beams uncheck so I left it alone as you recommended.
