I'd like to assure you that Handango does not discontinue partnerships without cause, nor did we come to this decision lightly. We treat all of our 16,000 global content providers with respect and professionalism. Without divulging specifics, our collective decision to not distribute Omnisoft's content was based on additional information not publicly shared.

As you might imagine, in working with thousands of companies, we occasionally have content providers unsatisfied with our level of service or the decisions we make. I do however, admire John Cody, his company, and his drive to make customers aware of his applications. Handango wishes him the best of luck with his business.

One mpx220 is NIB the other one is VERY LIGHTLY USED.  The new mpx220 is Cingular locked and the used one is unlocked.  I have 2 NIB SMT5600 both are Cingular versions.  I have one NIB v551. Last but certainly not least I am selling a used unlocked ETEN m500.

I got mine May 7th from Cingular... I'll have to try it. If it doesn't work, I'll be rather upset

Seems to be a design flaw with the MPx220, as the cover for the battery on the back is quite flimsy and loose.

Today it seems like it came off while I was out, running in between meetings downtown.

Anyone know an easy way to get a replacement, cheap and fast?

(I think I'll put on some velcro or something next time.)

Cingular has a nice leather case out for it, much better then the Cachet model.

Also I had a holster for a month or so and I like it, untill it broke  .

Do you know how to delete a word?

aadadams, do you know if I can place official Motorola firmware update on an unbranded one?Or if unbrended one has 1.3 firmware?

aadadams, thanks for reply - another question, can somebody tell me - if Cingular phone always comes with a "cingular" below keyboard or also can come as "MPx220" on it (silver)? Since I see a lot photos on the sitest, where site tells Cingular, but have photo with MPx220 on it?

I thought Cingular cells weren't locked at all... I bought one but was using my ATT sim before the merger completed and it works fine for me... have you even tried using a Tmobile sim on it?

Does anyone know the cheapest place online to get the mpx220 unlocked or is there anywhere where it would be done for free? The phone is a cingluar branded locked phone, but I cannot get it unlocked by cingular since I do not hold an account with them. Thanxs in advance!

I reviewed both eWallet and SplashID. I was not really impressed with SplashID, it seemed VERY unpoloshed. eWallet on the other hand is a rock-solid piece of software. The desktop/phone components work great together, and they offer wallet sync. I don't believe CodeWallet can do that.

I have been using my mpx220 for about a week now.  To be honest, I miss my mpx200... I thought it was a better phone... but it didn't have 850MHz which was causing serious reception problems.  Bluetooth is a bonus, but the 850MHz is why I switched.

Anyway, I want to use the SIM1 lock to lock my SIM card.  On the mpx200, I just created my own 4 digit code and then any time I powered the phone up it would ask me for that code.  Since the SIM card was under the battery, this made it impossible to steal the SIM card.

I tried to do the same on my mpx220 but it appears the SIM1 lock has already been entered... no it wasn't me and I have no idea what the code is.  Thing is, I don't get prompted when I power up... so it must be some default code?!?!  It's a Cingular SIM card.  Anyone else ever encounter this?

As a side note... anyone know what SIM2 lock is used for? 

Please please please don't respond with "Well, Cingular phones come locked... does anyone know if companies are selling unlock codes for mpx220s?"  This has NOTHING to do with that topic.

I'm talking about settings->security->enable SIM lock
