i recently bought my SDA without the T-mobile hotzone package. i was wondering if i could use my own wifi for free. is that possible?

Yes, you can. Much like a notebook, you can access any free wifi router as long as they are free without having to pay a thing for it.

I've never personally used an SDA, but if you are connected to the router you should be able to just open Internet Explorer and begin browsing via wifi.
