Hi. Since Tmobile got rid of the free wap, I can't connet to the itnernet via my MPX200. So on friday i went to the website and purchased the tzones for 4.99. Now today is Sunday and it still doesn't work on my MPX200. I've tried altering the connections and the data but it still doesn't work!!

However, I used the data configurator for my v600 and the internet is working fine on there...

I have an MPX200 with WM2003 (SUPER_MOTO_2_MPX200(2003).img)
it wasn't working when I had WM2002 either. PIE first says Connectiong...Finding site..."The page you are looking for cannot be found"

What are the ACTUAL settings for the MPX200 to use the WAP through tzones?

Use the exact settings you find in the T-Mobile forum here, but instead of the internet2.voicestream.com, use wap.voicestream.com. Other than that, I am using the exact same setttings with my $4.99 T-Zones fine. It did take me about 3 days for the T-Zones to start working though.

Use these settings, as long as they are put in correctly you should have no problems...

My data connections DO NOT work unless I put in the following:

GPRS CONNECTIONS:
Description: T-Mobile GPRS
Connects to: The Internet
Access Point: wap.voicestream.com
User Name:
Password:
Primary DNS: 0.0.0.0
Secondary DNS: 0.0.0.0
IP Address:

WAP CONNECTIONS:
Description: T-Mobile WAP
Connects to: WAP
Access Point: wap.voicestream.com
User Name:
Password:
Primary DNS: 0.0.0.0
Secondary DNS: 0.0.0.0
IP Address:

PROXY CONNECTIONS:
Description: T-Mobile
Connects From: The Internet
Connects To: WAP Network
Proxy (name:port): 216.155.165.50
Type: WAP
User name:
Password:

Settings-Data Connections:
Internet Connection: T-Mobile GPRS
WAP Connection: T-Mobile WAP

INTERNET EXPLORER > MENU > OPTIONS > CONNECTIONS:
UN-Tick 'automatically Detect Settings'
Select network: WAP

For the life of me I cannot get the settings posted on this site to work. I can't get IE/E-mail to connect by automatically detecting settings and using a network other than wap. I would LOVE if someone could provide some insight.

I'm in Chicago, on an MPx200 with WM2003.

Hmmm... I just brought my phone back to life in a different body (got a new phone and restored a back up from my last one). I had unlimited data then, now I just have T-Zones, all I had to do is change internet3.voicestream.com to wap.voicestream.com, and I also deleted the Primary and Secondary DNS, saved the changes and was blazen through the net on my phone and had full email access once again. I am using the exact settings as posted on this site (minus the DNS, which doesn't matter if you have the right ones in there), on a phone running the HelloMoto 2003 and everything works good as far as I have tested...

Well I just tried it briefly a bit ago, I managed to connect in yahoo via agile but didn't have the time to let the others connect, I was testing to see if it would work. I will try again later when I have more time. (you may wonder why I didn't have time, well I was on a smoke break and I don't get signal within my office that I had to get back to.) smile.gif

My settings just stopped working! I am on vacation, and was using my phone as my main internet source. It worked when I got here, then stopped overnight. I am certain it is a problem with my phone because I went into a T-Mobile store today, and they tested my SIM out for me on their phones. It worked no problem. I can't for the life of me figure out why it isn't working, I am using the same settings as when it was. I figure a reflash would fix it, but I don't have my computer with me!

What data plan do you have on your account, what type of SIM card are you using (i.e. Voicestream, Powertel, etc...)? Have you double checked your settings, if one thing is off then you will not be able to connect.

I DID NOT change any setting on the phone except swapping the SIM and Wahhhlaaaa it works. That's it for now. Good luck to all..

Back from the dead... Reason I did so is because the settings in the FAQ worked for me, but only when I UN-ticked the 'automatically detect settings' in IE. The FAQ states to tick this setting, and it wasn't working so I toyed around and UN-ticking did the trick.

Thanks,

It seems that the only settings with a definate consitency is the $19.99 unlimited internet plan. Since it is designed to be used for full internet access (and not just access to the T-Zones website), it will always work. The T-Zones ($4.99 or $9.99) settings keep changing, and are different in different parts of the USA. There isn't much consitency with them. You can't really complaign though as you are getting more than you paid for (full internet access). If only I could go back to the good ol' days when I was getting the exact same service as I am now for free. Those were a good 11 or so months.

After many painful attempts, I finally set up my Internet on my MPx200/t-mobile successfully. I'm in Colorado, USA.

Phew!

I hope this helps anyone in the Western US region. I had to search all over and combine different settings to finally get something that works. I've seen many different settings with various success rates. It would definitely appear that location impacts the required settings quite a bit. As I said, I had to combine different settings from many different posts before I finally got something that worked. Try this if you're in the western region (CO, NM, AZ, WY, etc.), and good luck! (BTW, I've got the $4.99 t-zones plan, and I can access the full Internet--but you didn't hear that from me!)

Cheers!

The t zones deal had me confused for awhile, because some said it could get full internet by unofficial means, and some said it couldn't get it at all, and others said only in certain regions. I still don't know which is correct, but I do know that I just recently got the 4.99 plan, with which I have been getting full internet access. I also had to find the right settings as many forums had different info on the process. If it is a regional issue (I'm in minnesota), I would be happy to post my settings:

My proxy settings:

connects FROM: WAP
connects TO: the internet
proxy: 216.155.165.50:8080
type: http

My GPRS settings:

connects to: WAP network
access point: wap.voicestream.com
both DNS: 0.0.0.0
No IP address

In PIE settings, auto detect is checked, and the network is, oddly enough, set to work.

Any questions about this setup, ask away.

As a data point, these settings work for me in WA as well. Full internet with the T-Zones package (but it's now $5.99).

Thanks for the tips.
