I like that it is a small flip phone that supports all of the important Windows Smartphone features that I like. Like A2DP.....

I have a set of Jabra BT wireless Stereo headphones, BT620.

They are great. They work well with the 3125 too. The olny thing that is kind of a pain, is you have to reset up the stereo bluetooth each time you user the headphones. Not too bad though.

They have really good sound. I am very happy with them. It's nice to be able to control the windows media player from the headset too. You can adjust the volume, advance to the next tune, or go back to the previous tune, all from the headset. Also if you get a call, the music will stop, you push a button to accept the call, then when the call is over, the music starts again. And people have said the call quality is good.

I am having some trouble getting Windows Media player to copy over my playlists. It seems if I only copy over a little bit at a time that works. When I tried to copy over 900mb of tunes, things goot screwed up, and the playlists did work and I couldn't see them weel. I think I'm through that now, seems to be working ok.

But today my mp3 ringtones stopped working for some reason....anyone see that before?

Anyone know of a tool to modify the 3125 today screen, like Homescreen Designer?

GrYph0n,

What type of sim did you get, 3G, 4G?

I would like to find out if my existing 3G sim will work in the 3125.

thanks,

John

Does anyone know if I can use an ATT or Cingular sim card in a Verizon phone?

Like, can I use a Verizon unlocked phone with an ATT or Cingular sim card?

Thanks.......

The custom ring tones work great out of the box.

What you do is open contacts, open the contact you want, then hit edit, find the custom ring tone field and select the custom ringtone.

I don't have my mini sd card yet (should be here in a coupleo of days), but you can copy the ringtones ( I am using mp3's) to the \Storage\Application Data\Sounds folder and they will show up when you want to assign them.

I'll work on where they go on the mini sd card soon.

Good Luck!

hi all,

I have some questions about the SMT5600 which I can't seem to answer myself......

so, I see that wm5 allows you to set ringtones and pictures for specific contacts... was this feature not available on wm2k3? How do ringtones work on the smt5600 (stock)? Can you use mp3s loaded on your minisd as ringtones?

I checked manuals, reviews, etc for this info but its not there... which makes me think its not supported... shrug...

does wm5 support mp3s as ringtones?

and when you flash the wm5 rom, i've read the camera on the SMT5600 stops working completely... could anyone describe in greater detail what functionality of it stops working? (b/c i've heard it only half-breaks it)

Anyway.... thanks a lot in advance,
-rj

I tried to move the Task Manager Icon as you suggested (Great Idea!). When I tried to do it from the File Manager on my phone (SMT 5600), I could not see the icons in the folder. When I tried from the explorer in Active Sync, I could see the files, but it said I did not have rights to move it. I tried to copy it, same thing. Any suggestions on how to change the permissions?

thanks.......

Using File Manager, I have moved hte Task Manager out of the System Management folder, and directly onto my Start Menu.  You can do this by opening File Manager, selecting Menu/Options, then unchecking all the boxes in the File browser settings.  Now use File Manager to open Storage/Windows/Start Menu/System Management.  Select the Task Manager icon, and go to Menu/File/Move To.  From there, go to Storage/Windows/Start Menu, and select Done.  You will now have Task Manager in the Start Menu (you may have to reboot the phone to see it there).  Open Task Manager.  You can see a list of all the running programs here, and choose which ones you want to stop.  I almost always choose Menu/Stop All.  The programs running in the back ground will use up memory, so it is best to stop them frequently to conserve space.

I always store pics. on my storage card though.  This can be done by opening the camera application (pushing the camera button), and selecting Menu/Options/General.  Here you can change Storage: from Internam memory to Storage Card.  If you don't have a Storage Card, I would recommend getting one to store pics., apps., music, movies, etc.

I just spoke to a sales person at Best Buy in Peaseant Hill (SF bay area) and they have the MPX220 on sale now. They are ONLY for Cingular though. They are $350 -$100 for new Cingular activation. $350 to use existing Cingular plan. $500 to purchase the phone without an activation.

Thanks for the clarification Sean. I did not know there was a seperate forum for these requests.

I think you guys should lighten up a little!

We're all just trying to get the most out of our phones. Some people may have more time than other to cruise these boards and gather information. Some may be more technically savy, but what is this forum for? Hopefully to get and share information.

I think you did the right thing Sean by clarifting that there is another forum for these posts, as opposed to complaining about all of the posts.

How do you specify in media player the copy or conversion quality of the mp3?

The oth biggrin.gif er number, ATT support that I was having this problem with, 866-772-5413 is now working for me too. Looks like the upgrade fixed the problem. (See my post above for upgrade details).

I had been having the same problem with the AA 1-800 number, also with 1 of the ATT support numbers I had the same problem. I complained to ATT support, and because I am still within the 30 grace period they sent me a new phone. I decided to check the versions before and after to see if I really did get some new versions of something. What I found is I did get some upgrades and the 1-800 problem appears to be fixed, for the AA number at least.

As for as what got upgraded, here's what changed (from settingsabout), under ROM Update versions, Operator, Manufacturer, and Language all went from 1.0.20.0 to 1.1.20.81. Those are the only ones that are changed.

One other note: I have only had this phone for three weeks and there are updates, or maybe the one I got had been sitting around for a while.

Att is going to replace my mpx200 because of the 1-800 problem, some 800 numbers I call do not hear my response when I press a key. ATT tells me that there is a software upgrade that fixes the problem. How can I tell, 1. what version I am currently running and 2. how will I know that the phone I get has a newer version?

thanks.......

Does anyone use their MP3 player feature on the MX200 phone?

Do you know where to get an adapter from the phone headphones jack (2.5mm 4c plug) to a standard mini jack (3.5mm walkman type jack)?

Also what are you using to play the MP3's?

thanks...

Anyone know of a reasonably priced adapter, for the mxp200 2.5mm to a regular 3.5mm stereo mini jack that a walkman for example uses?
