I am thinking about replaceing with a MPX 220 or a SDA or a MDA but I have also seen some Treo 600s on ebay that look very interesting.

What I really want in my next phone:

ability to sync contacts and schedule with outlook
ability to use my own ringtones
ability to play mp3's
extrenal storage via sd ot mini sd

Optional:

bluetooth
camera

I just held a Qtek 8500 aka HTC Star Trek aka i-mate Smartflip the other day, and I was really impressed. It's probably more than you're looking to spend, but it looks like a really, really nice phone. Knowing more of what your specific usage will be would help in recommending a phone. Just please promise me you won't go with a Treo 600. Windows Mobile is the way of the future.

RIght now I am just looking around to see what is out there. I use my phone to keep me on track with my schedule, so I need a way to keep my phone synced with outlook for contacts and appointments.

Truth be known I would love to have a linuxed based phone just so I can avoind the M$ tax. But I have really loved my MPX200, and I might just buy another one if the price is right.

I think I can safely say that I am not going to get the treo. to many bad reports on the net.

I would like to keep it under 300-400 bucks.

I have even considered the Motorola A630. IT has a nice design, and I can sync it with my pc, so its an option. No additional storage thought.

Well This morning I won an ebay auction for a SDA. I should have it the first of next week. I wanted an MDA, but I just couldn't justify the extra expence.

BTW SMEG, Season 8 is out on DVD for the US region 1 market. I now have the complete series

Well This morning I won an ebay auction for a SDA. I should have it the first of next week...
I just replaced my 220 with an SDA also (actually the i-mate SP5m) and am QUITE pleased. Your list of needs seem like they'd be met by any Smartphone so I'm sure your "needs" have been met. What do you think of your new SDA in comparison to the 220? I miss the flip and the d-pad. Other than that, I'm good.

Devices: T-Mobile MDA (Cingular SIM), i-mate SP5m (sitting in a drawer at the moment while I attempt to migrate to PPC permanently), Cingular 3125 (unlocked and in use on T-Mobile), Motorola MPx220 (retired), Motorola MPx200 (retired)

Accessories: Plantronics Explorer 330 & 2G Patriot Micro-SD (use w/MDA), Kingston 2G mini-SD used in SP5m, Plantronics Discovery 640 & 2G San Disk micro-SD (use w/3125), Jabra A210 BT adapter + Motorola HS805 (retired)
