So recently I bought a Dopod 900 (better known as the imate jasjar or htc universal) and I've been having problems getting it to work with the 4GB SD card. At first when I stuck the card into the phone everything worked nicely and I viewed basic MS word documents to test it out. Then I put some media on it and all of a sudden the phone would freeze when I opened anything from the SD card. I took out the card and tried formatting it using the card reader built into my laptop and it wouldn't let me format the card. So then I put the card back into the phone and as soon as I did it gave me a message that asked me if I wanted to format the card. So I did and it worked and I was able to play media and documents off the card right up until now. As soon as I tried to fill up the card the phone froze and now neither the phone or my laptop recognize the card at all!
Any help would be greatly appreciated as I really dont know what to do. Thanks in advance.

It sounds like a problem with the card itself. If you have any other SD devices to test it with, I'd see if it works with them. If it doesn't work with the PC, chances are it's a problem with the card. What manufacturer is it? Pretty much any 4GB SD card should be new enough that it is still under warranty and you can get it replaced.

I have a question about the bigger mini sd's and the 8125...I have the 1gb but one of my friends has the two and said it has slowed down his phone immensly. I wanted to buy a bigger card...is this true or is he just doing something wrong w/his phone?

Thanks in advance,
Kat

I have a Kingston mini 2GB in my HTC phone and I think it works fine. I never had a 1GB in this phone so I can't compare the speed now to anything else. But, my phone doesn't have any trouble answering calls, playing music, custom ring tones etc.

4GB...WoW! I'd fill that with lots of music!
