Why is it when i type in my zip code (73069) the $59.99 local gold value package has 700 anytime minutes. but when you type in (90210) you jump to 800 minutes a month why is that?

Rate plans tend to vary by market. Obviously, they don't need your business in 73069 as they would in 90210. (gee, wonder where you came up with that zip).

That is the same ZIP I use for calculating UPS rates to the west coast wink.gif It tends to catch in my mind for some reason...

The rate difference is due to economies of scale, it is like a bulk buy discount, there are many more users in Beverly Hills than in your neighborhood (I'm guessing but pretty sure) so they can divide the costs of the towers and service personnel over a larger number of bills. Is it truly fair, no, probably not but it is life.

You see the same thing in many other industries. In an opposite example, the Wegmans market in my area charges much less for most items than the Wegmans in the larger (higher cost of living) markets of Rochester NY or Buffalo. Pricing is regional and varies on costs and what people are willing to pay.
