if you are going to buy this phone based on camera. don't the pics are ok at best. not outstanding considering resolution. if that is you main issue, buy something else. i very rarely use my phone cause it kinda suxs. just my 2 cents worth.

I don't have the 1.47 or 1.49 ROMs, so I can't provide a pic., but I agree with drewdog. The camera is there, but that is about the extent of it. I compared identical pictures with my MPx220 and my wife's RAZR, and the RAZR blew it out of the water for pic. quality, even though it is only 640x480.

Camera is not the main function that I'm finding in a phone but I'd only like that camera quality is better than the vga of my siemens sx1

OK, I'll humor you. Here are two shots of my cube in standard fluorescent light using standard settings on the phone.

This was taken with my MPx 220 with Asian 3.45 ROM.

Settings that I used were:

White Balance: Incandescent
Resolution: 1280x960
Contrast: 4

It takes pretty good pictures, they just look alot better on the computer than they do on the phone.

all camera will take a good photo on the day but the most problem is take a good photo in the night. Moto has a s**t camera and that's it. In my opinion if you want good photo buy a camera if you want a good sound on headset buy mpx:)

Yeah but don't forget about the awesome flash that is part of the phone laugh.gif rolleyes.gif just kidding the flash is not worth anything unless your taking picture of something 6 inches away.(literally)

Pictures don't look that good on the phone themselves but it does the job if you need something to take pictures with.
