Well I have just recieved a 1GB mini-SD card to try out on my phone, and I am happy to say that it works great on my Audiovox SMT 5600, also works perfectly on the MPx220 (Personally tested myself).

When I got the package I felt like a kid on Christmas morning opening up a present.

So I got it opened and decided to fight my urge to test it out, and to take a few pictures. Forgive me, but my camera really sucks (a better one is on the list of things to get).

Okay, with all that out of the way I popped my 512 mini-SD in to copy all my stuff off. Once all my card contents were on the PC, I put the 1gb card in. First thing I did was check the properties to just ensure that it was in fact 1gb.

Yup, that all checks out. Now time to copy everything over to the card. I must say that the transfer speed was impressive when compared to my 512 card (not sure what that speed is for the 512). The TeraVit 1gb Mini-SD card is rated as a 66x. Once everything was on the card, it was time to pop it into the phone and fire that bad boy up.

Fingers crossed and the drums rolling...

Everything loaded up with no problems, and I randomly loaded a few apps from the card and there were no problems at all...

Any idea if the flash chips are SLC or MLC? I prefer SLC because MLC is more likely to go bad.

*UPDATE* Just had the chance to try it out in an MPx220 and it worked perfectly, so no worries MPx220 owners.

Looking forward to hearing how much they are with a group buy. It would be nice to have 1GB in both my devices. But I doubt I will be able to afford it.

Hi,

Is there going to be a group buy? Is there an official forum to track this issue? Please let me know.

I just bought the mpx220 and got the 512 mb card with it. I am so pleased with it. I don't see myself getting a new phone for a long time. I am having just a little trouble getting music stored on my mini card for the fact I can't compress the files to mp3 to get the most music they all take up between 17 to 18 mb please help show me how to get the most music on my card. Thank You.
