was not sure where to post this for the dash but i will start here. Not seeing a lot of info on this device here but i picked it up and it is a nice small unit with a good size screen . seems to work much smother and faster than the MDA i was using.Anyway my question i have played around with gprs and the proxy settings and seem to get internet and t zones with my $5.99 Tmobile web package but can not seem to get pop 3 email to work like it did on the MDA is this something that tmobile has blocked out unless we pay for total internet or has any one figured it out

Thanks

I installed the new rom when it was made available and all has been ok .I did notice when i shut the unit off and restart it it takes the back light to turn off in 10 seconds.this happens only when i shut it down.If i soft reset it will stay where i set it at 30 seconds.

Also how do other users of this device find the signal trentgh to be.I have been in places with other tmobile users and i have no signal and they will be able to use there phone. and i just keep looking for a signal.Just curious how others find it to be.

I have been using the MDA since it came out in Feb and I have had a few quirks and am loking for a little input if i may

It seems to switch bettween portrait and landscape mode just as i pull it out of the case .( not all the time )it will roll back to portrait in a few seconds but a few times thru out the week. If the phone rings i pull it out when this happens i then cant answer the call it just rings ang goes to missed calls i push the answer button but all it does is ring. this is random 4 to 5 times a week maybe. I have just done a hard reset and i will see what happens just curious if any one has had this issue.

Has anyone used this insuite mobile to shut down apps and programs when you x out instead of leaving them open. I loaded a trial and it seems to work but am looking to see if anyone knows about it. is it using more battery by always running in background. Are ther other apps that you guys like that will close a app insted of the leaving it open in the background i know i can close the myself but it is nice that the close when you x out.

Also i have noticed that when i load certian programs sometimes i get a quirk in the os Example i have Airscanner antivirus loaded it seemed to load with no problems but i notice when i am using the on screen keyboard to enter info the arrow to the right that opens up our input options has a hugh delay like 15 to 20 seconds is it common to have such quirks with different programs

I also was haveing this problem also randomly if i enter a phone # and send it with in one second it would say call ended and i would redial it will do the same it seem when i exit out of the dialer and come back in it will then work not sure what is going on there

Not sure if these are just quirks of the phone edition as this is my first one or did i get a quirky unit.

On a final note i have purchased microsoft voice command and this is a awesome program if you want to use voice dialing and voice commands to open apps.

thanks in advance to all

Thanks i will keep my eyes posted for any progreess please forward me if you here anything.for now i guess ill stick to the default one instead of the one i purchased for 29.00 which is totally useless if the device turns off which i beleive safes much of the battery. i can still see the defaultname and number with that one even if it is turned off it kind of wakes it up.

I have been using this MDA since it came out and have always had my power setting as follows turn off backlight after a minute and turn off device after 3 minutes then when i neede dit just a tap on the power button to resume. I have purchased photo contact pro because iwanted a full screen photo id when i get a incoming call . well when the device turns off and goes into lala land the caller id is a no go if i stop it from shutting down the device and just have the backlight go out. i think all is well .My question is am i using alot more battery by just having the backlight go off and not shutting down the device. Or if any one knows of a better option for full screen caller id thanks in advance.
