Hello...this topic is making me insane! Partly because I just don't "get it", and partly because so many other folks "don't get it" either. I'll be as clear as I can: I have an unlocked Motorola V6 MAXX phone running on my T-Mobile USA carrier. My service includes text and picture messaging and I have no problem receiving both. I just can't SEND pictures. (I can send text just fine) I realize that my unlocked V6 MAXX needs to have the MMS settings "manually" entered into the phone. That much I "get." I just don't know HOW to do it. What buttons to push? Step by step. I have seen a few similar posts here and elsewhere and I can't make any sense out of the few replies I've read. I've called both T-Mobile USA and MOTO for help and neither can nor would help me. I don't think they had a clue what I was talking about. Further compounding this problem is the WAP? I have no idea what that is either? Should I just say screw it and forget picture messaging? Or is there a kind and knowledgeable soul who would be willing to walk me thru this techno-babble, step-by-step?? I would forever be in your debt and would help others with the same problem once I understand it. I have included the 'settings" from T-Mobile USA. What do I do with them? And what is WAP? Where do I begin? If someone will tell me what buttons to push, I'll push 'em! But PLEASE: Be very specific and clear with your words. Assume that I know absolutely nothing, because I don't. Thank you a million times over for help. The settings from T-Mob's site are below. I have no idea what they mean.

Well, the directions we have posted on this site all relate to this process with a Windows Mobile phone. The V6 MAXX doesn't run Windows Mobile, so I don't know the exact steps on how to enter them to that particular phone. The settings we have posted on the site should be the correct ones, it's just a matter of figuring out the process of entering them on your particular phone. Sorry I can't be of more help.

WAP stands for "Wireless Application Protocol" and since your mobile phone has it you can browse and access WAP sites which have internet-style content and services. However, do not confuse WAP with full internet access browsing that can be done with an HTML browser like Pocket Internet Explorer (pIE) that comes built into Windows Mobile. You probably need to manually setup your WAP settings as well as your MMS settings.

In your menu of applications do you have "HELPME Moto" and "Motorola SETUP"? Motorola Setup is supposed to be where you set up MMS from what I just read after I did a Google search.

If your phone has the same setup as the PEBL and/or SLVR (or, is enough similar you can translate it to your device) check out (Google search the following term) "Bengal Boy Bible MMS". Only go to the resulting page if you do NOT mind your tutorial accompanied with some sophomoric almost soft porn (all 'parts' are covered or clothed - but not recommended to view while at work or without explanation to your gf/spouse beforehand in case someone is looking over your shoulder wink.gif ). I only recommend it because it is for T-mo specifically and has lots of screen shots of the setup process that might make sense to you.

http://www.mobile-review.com/review/motorola-v6maxx-en.shtml Takes FOREVER to load, but waaaaaaaaaaaay down at the bottom of the page there is a screen shot of the MMS settings menu you probably are looking for. It gives no more information then that and I noticed it looks different then what they're showing at Bengal Boy (different devices and so not totally surprising they'd be somewhat different).

Probably none of what I've written is worth the paper it's printed on wink.gif, but I hope something here helps!

Good luck!!
