Hi,
While setting up a gprs connection I am required to manually enter an ip address. But when I bring the cursor down to the ip address field I can't enter a dot "." the usual way by pressing the "1" button. Also the display at the top-right corner of the screen turns to "123" while it usually says "abc" or "ABC" when entering names, messages etc. How do I enter a dot between numbers while entering the ip address in the gprs connection settings?

Help greatly appreciated.
Thanks.

If you press and hold the * you can switch between 123, and abc. You can then enter the . using abc.

Exactly...what Smeg said. Just wanted to add that I've found it easiest to enter all the numbers for a particular box then switch to "abc" and go back an enter the "." all at once. Seems like a little less switching back and forth and back and forth.

in abc mode you can also press and hold the key for the number to pop up, that is usually the smoothest method for me.
