Just thought that I would throw in that out of the many firmware versions that I have tried, BEN6 0630-12 was the smoothest one. It seemed that it is a little faster and more responsive than others that I have tried out. There really aren't any noticable differences in the ROM's that I could notice, but that one seemed to be less buggy. For example the last one that I tried out was I belive Ben6-07xx-0xx, and I would have to hit the action key several times on what was selected to get it to preform the action. Also noticed problems ending calls on a few other versions, but I can't really recall which was which at this point. I can say that I have had no bad experiences with BEN6 0630-12.

Well that 900 band seems to be a pretty tricky thing. I have seen where BEN6-0630-012.img actually enabled the 900 band on a presons phone to where it worked flawlessly, and I have also seen where it did jack squat for a different persons' phone. I think that it all has to do with the phone and not so much the firmware at this point and time...

The problem is that if the market region for the phone does not require 900 then the phones E2P does not have 900 calibration data for the network. But you can flex the phone and upload calibration data from a 900 working phone, this will give better results, but not perfect. Because the calibration data is tuned in the factory for each phone.

Could anybody explain to me what al these firmwares would do to my AT&T MPx200 that's not working on the 900 band in the Netherlands ?

I've read story's about the BEN6-0630-012.img but a list of firmwares like that doesn't tell me anything. I haven't flashed my mpx200 yet (dont have the BEN6-0630-012.img firmware either ) but i am doubting if i should do it. I really need that 900 band.

What is the latest firmware for the MPX200, looking at the numbers this seems to be the latest firmware because of the highest number : BEN-6-0733-058.img ?

Ben-6-0920-012.img is my favorite.

Anyone else flashed with 0920?

Is anyone willing to trade 0920-012 for some other 0920?

I'd love to get a hold of a decent ROM with "US English" or "Russian" locale as default!

I took me 3 minutes to replace WM2003 with Ben-6-0920-012.img

I just did NOT like WM2003.

By flashing the phone with the firmware it took out all carrier branding, added mms software, camera software, photo software, and also added triband. I can not really tell if it is any faster or not, but there is an mpx tweak for this which works very well. The BEN file i used by the way was (BEN6-0630-12.img) Im running the mpx200 sim unlocked, apps unlocked on Cingular in the USA. Was on ATT<< not anymore. LOL :D

I know this post is from over a year ago but can you explain exactly how you were able to switch from AT&T Wireless to Cingular. Did you just insert a Cingular sim card and activate as normal or what? Since Cingular has bought them out, I want to be able to switch to their phone plans instead of having to buy a new phone. I want to keep my current phone. Any information would be greatly appreciate.

Your phone is SIM locked , you have to unlock it first and then you can use Cingular sim card
