Larry Greenberg wrote a good piece on the topic "http://www.runaroundtech.com/2011/05/23/is-advertising-is-ruining-the-internet/" back in May 2011. I don't want to be a hypocrite as we take some Google advertisement that pays the hosting cost of MGN every month. But, over the last year the advertising on many websites seems obnoxious. Where is the modern version of http://www.proxomitron.info/ that helps you filter the garbage on other devices like iPad, Android etc. I was showing something to someone on my iPad and some ad scrolled across the view. They said "how do you get rid of that?" I didn't know. I want information, I could care less about the advertisement. We all pay a hefty fee for internet access, is there a way we can get information without the loss of privacy and the intrusion into to our personal lives. Is there an Internet wwX that is not so commercial?
