Hi,
my MPx220 has this message 'No image file..' when it is switched on. Sicne it does not have any software on it it is not being recognized by active sync. Is there any way to get the image file flashed without active sync? Let me know.

thanks

I don't think ActiveSync is necssary for a flash and usually you shut it off. From the XDA developer site:

about the motorola MPx220 smartphone

entering bootloader mode
hold down volume down, and then power up, for the 'uart-bootloader'
hold down button on rightside, and then power up, for the usb-bootloader.
hold down action, and then power up, for master-reset.
hold down '6', then power up, for ???

Have you tried a master reset?

Now if you have the firmware and you can get the usb bootloader going you may have a shot at flashing it. Disclaimer - anything you do is your own risk. Flashing can fry a phone.
