im tryin to put a short ring tone on my 8525 to have em play on sms n email messages but i dont know what folder to put it in to have it work. what am i doing wrong?

If you don't have a storage card, then place them here: \My Documents
If you do have a storage card, then place them here: \Storage Card

O i know how to do that for phone calls. but im tryin to do that for messages and emails. I go to sounds and notifications, then into notifications. and when i check for the ring tones they arent there. what am i doing wrong? thanks

Have you tried using WAV formatted sounds? I think the problem you're having is your files are not in the correct format.

The locations I gave above were for a SmartPhone (sorry, didn't catch your other post was about an 8125 and this one was about an 8525 - my bad), on your PPC you can put a WAV file in the \Windows folder and that should then show up for use as event and notification sounds.
