Has anyone installed the ROM update from HTC yet?? 2.25.11.1WWE http://www.htcamerica.net/support/software...nloads_8125.htm

I'm sure some of you guys have done this.. .any noticable changes/improvements. Just trying to decide if it's worth it to trash my phone and have to go through the setup and first re-sync for this update..

Let me know. Thanks. smile.gif

Yes I tired it....I didn't like it. So I went back to that customized ROM that one guy is doing on spv developers. Its more stable, the radio version works much better.

If I was to install a different ROM and then execute my sprite back up file would everything go back the way I had it before except for there being a new ROM or would I have to redo all my settings and stuff.

I sugest manually entering the info yourself. I use SPB Backup and while it works...it seems to give my phone some problems for example it seem since I installed that program that GSM radio will reset itself in mid call...its very anoying...I am going to do a hard reset soon I am sure. So yeah I think it would be best to do everything manually.

I just updated to the new cingular ROM on the HTC site last night and actually really like it. I've noticed a little bit of a lag on one of the games, but the net works good, the file manager is faster, I like some of the new additions to the comm manager and the calls still seem to be good.

Every ROM upgrade I've done I ran my Sprite Backup to restore all my previous settings. A couple of times I had to run the restore twice before it put everything back to normal. I don't know why I had to run it twice but it worked and that's all that mattered to me. I did run my backup on a different phone once and Sprite protested but did in fact put my settings on that phone. I got many warnings about the backup not coming from that device but it did load everthing.
