I thought MediWork can't go to HTML, only to WAP?
Do they look different using your SMARTPHONE vs labtop computer?

Your info is appreciated.

Yes, you can visit most any WS. I have only had problems with secure *.jsp's. The pages are rendered for smartphone by default, but you can set it to render as it would on a CPU.

Cool,
I just access ATT Mmode, WAP sites, it's kind of boring looking without the rendering, which I guess it will be easy to do with pocket pc or treo, but can you do it with mpx 220 or smt 5600?

THANKS

I am contemplating migrating from T-Mobile to Cingular due to poor coverage in my area. I have a question for any of you Cingular users - can you use the phone as a internet connection for a laptop? I currently use my MPx200 and the modem link to surf the web on my laptop, by dialing *99#. Can this be done with Cingular and the Media Works option?

I know that I may have to upgrade to the MPx220 due to the Quad-Band feature, but just want to know if this can be done.

Thanks

I am making the switch now. My remaining question, which no Cingular agent could answer, is if I sign up for the MediaNet Unlimited data package - does this include teathering to my laptop or are there extra charges for doing this?

I have asked same question from verion sales rep , since they have wireless broadband network. They said no, according to the contract cheap plan is only for phone with WAP access with little network activity. They have different plan for laptop access and they charge more ($80) . My guess is you may will be able internet using phone as modem. If they notice heavy traffic for a vcast they may suspend your account, atleast thats what Verizon does it. I am assuming cingular would do th same however i have not glanced mediaworks terms. If they catch you using Vcast ($15 plan) for wireless broadband access($80 plan) .
