I don't have Xbar,but i have SmartMonitor plugin...

Well i deleted the file but as soon as i did,the file re-appeared again! So i copied it to my PC,deleted all the text inside it,and made it a READ-ONLY file. Then copied it back to my phone.
I think this solved the problem... The file remains at 0 KB,and i didnt had to remove SmartMonitor plugin.

Thx for your help!

Thx for the advice. I ll try deleting it and see what happens...

Isn't it strange that it is 8 MB ? A little big for a .txt file right?

Thx.

You don't need to put the battery out. Just wait phone to boot up, and turn it off. Next turning the phone on will start the backlight as usual. Actually, if you put the screen in correct angle you can see what's on it, and the phone is usable, except backlight.

Anyway, I miss the MPx200 display, and it's visibility on the strong sun...

You are right! I never noticed that...
The phone is working, but the backlight isn't...

Goodmorning guys!

While i was "cleaning" my phone ,i came across a file called evtlog.txt, inside \Storage\windows. this file is about 8 MB(!). I copied it to my pc and opened it. It's some kind of log, with some dates and some other things...

Is it ok to delete this file? Anyone knows if this file is necessary for normal operation of the phone?

Thx.

Well,i left my phone in the "restore process" for about 2 hours, but the message wouldnt go away. So i removed the battery and turn it on.And ,to my suprice, the phone restored to its previous state, minus some registry entries, that i manually entered... Weird..!
I ll try another backup tool next time.

Thx for the help..

Hey guys.Sorry for posting again,i am having a major problem.
I just soft reseted my phone, and suddenly,it boot up ,as if i did a hard reset... All my data is gone, except my SD card.
So,i installed Sprite Backup again and i started a restore process from the backup file saved on my card. But my phone hangs ,when Sprite Backup reaches the point where it says : "Patching mail database". it does nothing, just displaying this message.

I dont care about my files.. All i want is my registry backup.. Is there a way to restore my registry??

Thx.

Yes, I and others have. In my case, and most cases, it was a result of the crappy connection on the phone. It gets loose and messed up very easily, causing the connection to not charge the battery. If you are still under warranty Motorola will fix it. They did for mine. It took a couple weeks, but was worth it when I got it back fixed. If you aren't under warranty you could get an external charger and a second battery so you'll always have a fully charged battery to swap out instead of trying to charge through the phone. I got one from here.

Thx for the fast reply.
I think that i am still under warranty,so i ll probably give them my phone for a repair!

Thx again.

Hey guys.
I have the following problem.
When i connect my phone to my charger ,the indicator shows that its charging but the battery isnt charging at all!I mean ,if i leave my phone on the charger for an hour, and then come back, the sign in the upper right corner will show that the phone is charging, but the battery has less power than before...

Anyone else has the same problem?

Thx.

Thx!
The reason i want to get rid of these warnings is because every time i use a program or a game, and this warning pops up, the phone ends my program or game.. Dont know why,but it returns to the homescreen..
Anyway,if there IS a way,i would love to know it!

Thx again

Hi, yes there is a way!

Bluetooth Receive File Directory

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE - SOFTWARE - Microsoft - Obex - Services - f9ec7bc4-953c-11d2-984e-525400dc9e09 - BaseDir -

Change /Storage/My Documents/FTP to a directory on your Storage Card. ( ex /Storage Card/BTFolder )

*with paired devices only

Hi guys. I have tried changing the registry setting but the files i receive are still saved on the phone memory! any ideas?

Try to answer a call by opening the phone. Sounds like a problem with the switch that senses the flip is open.

Or could just be a bad connection. How is the flash? Spkr? Earphone audio?

Crack that puppy open....if not in warranty smile.gif

All of them are working great.I ll try to open it!
Hope i wont regret it...

THX!

Hi guys.

I have a question.

Is there a way to make our phone to save the Thumbdb folder on our storage card and not on the phone memory, cause it uses up to 2 MB of space!

Thx in advance!

George.

Do you have more than one device partnership in Activesync?  If you only have one, then it should already be selected and there aren't any more to choose from so it will be greyed out.  If that is the case, just go to File/Delete Partnership.
*

I dont know what to do!I dont know if i have a partnership!Active sync wont let me see. Both "mobile Device" and "delete mobile device" are greyed out. this means that there are no partnerships on y computer.what i dont understand is why does automaticly go into Guest mode, every time i connect my phone! Could it be something on my phone that is causing all this trouble. Or maybe a setting that says to automaticly select Guest mode?

I dont know...sad.gif

As muchomorek said, you can only delete a partnership if you aren't connected to Activesyc.  The same goes for switching partnerships to delete one.  You can't be connected to switch to a different partnership to delete.

Yeah,i know!Thats the strange thing!I am not connected with my phone and still i cant select that option!

How many devices do you have set up with ActiveSync?  You may have to delete an old partnership.  ActiveSync can only have a full partnership with two devices.  Without a phone connected open ActiveSync and do this:

File>Mobile Device
Highlight your old device
Than go to the main screen and Delele Partnership.

You can than connect and activate a new partnership. Set Contact options the same as you had before.

Strange.i cant click on mobile devices.its grayed out and i cant select it.i tried to uninstall active sync and reinstall it ,but the problem is still there!

It's very simple really.  You need to be sure your PCs Activesync is set to The Internet in File/Connection Settings (it should be by default).  Then sync your MPx220.  Once you are synced, go to Start/Settings/Data Connections, and change your Internet Connection to Pass Thru.  That's it.

I did whay you said but nothing happenes.I still cant use the internet!
Any ideas?

thx!
