I want to use .wav ringtones from my SD Memory card? How can I do it? How do you access the registry and what is the code if it works? HLEP!!!!!!!!!!1111 wink.gif  wink.gif

Create a folder named My Documents on your SD card. Put your .wav files there. They will show up in your Sounds settings for ring tone.

Thanks, I guess I was impatient. Probably should not have pulled the card out when I did. Well it turns out that the SD card was fried... couldn't even format on PC. I've now got 2003 flashed on it and it is working. I may try 2005 again some day when I get a new SD card.

I tried this last night and it worked. Pretty nice too and fast! But today I tried to sync to my PC and it wouldn't connect. So I thougth I should reboot it. Not sure how to do it, and the phone would not power off from the power button. So I took the battery out and tried to restart. Now it just sits at the forest screen and doesn't go anywhere and turns off. Could it be that my SD card is dead? Help!

someone has to do it or have the bad experience and stuff but its cool. taking one for the team i guess. just trying to figure this thing out so others wont have any issues at all. try the upgrade. it is pretty cool visually. but, functionally, i think its the same. or maybe its just that i dont use all the features and havent really messed with it yet. i noticed that its a little bit faster than 2003.

I have 2002 running on mine now and planning to jump straight to 2005 this weekend. It makes me wonder now that you say that functionally it is the same. I don't have 2003 available, so maybe I will still benefit from the upgrade. MP3 ringtones and newer browser would be worth the pain I guess.

The easiest way is to just download a ROM file of the OS version you want to go back to.  Find the 2002 generic ROM, and flash back to it if you don't like the newer ROM.  I'm not really sure how to make a backup file of the ROM you currently have because I have just always flashed with the ROM files already available instead of trying to create my own.

Thanks. I will probably just do that. Since everything seems to work well on what I currently have, I was thinking that would be the safest to do.

I have had my MPX200 for almost a week now and am amazed at what Windows Smartphones can do. Very happy with the phone. But I'm itching to experiment with upgrading the OS from 2002 to either 2003 or WM5. What is the best way to backup my current OS so that I can revert back? I have some RAW, IMG, and BIN files from running MPX200_BACKUP from a set of utilities I used to unlock my AT&T branded phone to use on T-mobile. Will those files be sufficient for me to revert? My apologies if anything I mention here is inappropriate.

Thanks for sharing your experience with this upgrade. I'm sorry no one was able to help you along the way, but it gives me a good feeling to try this upgrade myself. Good luck to you with getting everything you need working.

I picked up an EDGE 256 SD in hopes of doing this upgrade. Anyone have any experiences with EDGE cards on the MPX200?
