QUOTE (Mathan Rae @ Apr 30 2008, 09:54 PM) *
i don't know if my post is misplaced or it should be moved to the classifieds section. sorry... anyway, i'm looking for any old mpx200 which no one is using (obviously just lyin' 'round the corner). i would be glad to take it off your hands (it might just be collecting dust anyway). as long as it is still working (100% functional), doesn't matter if it's locked or not or if it has minor scratches (not the major ones like dents or cracks. scratches or minor scuffs are acceptable), i would be glad to purchase it. also looking to buy at the lowest possible price and someone who would agree to shipment to the philippines (don't worry we are not like nigerians who like to scam). i'm a serious buyer since i would want to start modifying phones as a hobby and the mpx200 is a very versatile basic phone to start with. please qoute how much is the price for the phone and shipping to the philipines (particularly Cebu Ctiy, zipcode: 6000). i'll gladly pay in paypal. thanks everyone!

You can pick up one on eBay for as low as $15. If you are a serious buyer. By the way, I am a Nigerian and you know what, there are more hackers and scammers who are filipinos than Nigerians, really.

How to force charge mpx200 running wm5.0??

QUOTE (Toad @ Dec 2 2004, 10:16 AM)
If you're having problems charging your phone, before taking apart your phone, I would first suggest you go into engineering mode by dialing * #**364# and pressing the middle blue key, and then going to Options > Layer 1B > Force Charge.  Also, I would suggest sending your phone back to Motorola under warranty rather than taking it apart, as that would void your warranty.

Is there an equivalent command for mpx200 running wm5.0. This doesn't seem to work with wm5.0. Says 'command not supported' but works with my mpx220 running wm2003se. Anyone please help.

QUOTE (AndrewSh @ Dec 24 2005, 07:20 AM)
The Windows works pretty nice.
The only issue for me at the moment - how to unlock registry edit? I am from the Russian part of the world - so it's important for me to have the Russian text input. OK, I know how to do that but I need the registry editing feature enabled to complete the operation...
So, any ideas?
Thanx in advance and for sure Merry X'mas!

Do you have phm regedit installed? You should be able to do registry edit with that.

Look on Ebay for it. You dont have to ship your phone anymore.

That chunks overboard the argument about charging 25 bucks for shipping the phone. In comparison, the 2003 upgrade was available for about 2 bucks.

Thanks for your reply. From your response, I would expect that when I install programs to phone, the storage memory should get consumed. Rather it's the flash memory that gets used up. The storage memory is untouched and does not get listed. Right now when I wanted to install an app, and chose phone, the available space reported is:

Phone 882 KB
\Storage Card: 250698 KB

I know the 882kb is referring to the flash memory and the 250 MB is referring to the SD card. Where is the almost 10mb of storage memory from the ram?

My mpx200 lists this memory information:

Total Memory: 28.21 MB
Program Memory: 17.66 MB
Used: 10.32 MB
Free: 7.34 MB

Storage Memory: 10.55 MB
Used: 0.99 MB
Free: 9.55 MB

Flash Info
Device Storage: 8.18 MB
Used: 7.22 MB
Free: 989.22 KB

Card Storage: Unknown
Used: Unknown
Free: Unknown

Storage memory does not seem to be used for anything and I can't see it in File Manager. Device storage seems to get used up each time a program is installed to 'phone'. The card storage is showing unknown ever since I changed the sd drive name to 'storage card' in the registry. Can anyone explain what the various memories are especially 'storage memory'. Thanks in advance.

Actually, since there is an upgrade to wm2003 a new review would be in order.
