i want to watch TV shows and movies stored on my 512 meg or 1gig SD. will this phone be able to decode and play full screen 320x240 properly ?

- it all depends on how you encode your films (that could be another thread in itself!) I've ran a good film clip w/o issue on my 512Mb card.

Yes, a description how to create movies for the Pocket PC (including this iPaq) is here:

There are 2 sections, one is about DIVX based movies ("How to create DIVX files...), the 2nd about general media files ("How to convert media files...").
