Well it isn't free but it is beyond awesome. I use Bitstream ThunderHawk. You surf in landscape mode and it is more like surfing from a desktop than a Pocket PC. It does require a subscription sine the pages go through their servers for conversion...

Some may think so, but I definatly think that it is well worth it. I belive that you can try it out for a spell to see if you feel that it is a worthy investment.

I second Gryph on the ThunderHawk program. It may cost, but if you want to get frames on your Smartphone/PPC it is a nice solution. Thier servers do all the work so you are not burning up MB or time to a little 200-400 mHz processor to process everything.

When the MS Opera comes out we will see what it does - but it will cost and will be limited by the Frames capability of your device.

I third ThunderHawk. It isn't that much, and you can pay monthly instead of a whole year up front. But if you really don't want a subscription to ThunderHawk, the second best would be Netfront. It is a pretty good browser, much better than PIE. It doesn't fit as much on the screen as ThunderHawk, but it does fit more than PIE, and it has way more user changable options than either.
