I have T-Mobile and I borrowed a Sidekick from a friend and it would not let me use AIM unless I purchased a $20 a month plan. Is that the same for the SDA? I am planning to get the SDA but not pay $30 a month for the Total Internet Package offered by T-Mobile.

Also, I have WiFi in my house, I know the SDA has WiFi to but do I have to pay to use it? Is the browser on it full HTML like on the PSP? This would be my first smart phone so I am sorry if my questions are dumb.

Any help from an SDA owner would be greatly appreciated

Kyle

You could download and install Agile Messenger to access AIM on a SDA. It uses data to connect to AIM, and some people have been able to get it to work with the $5.99 T-Zones internet. I'm not certain if that's still the case though. Yes, you will be able to use wifi at your home, and any other free hotspot, without having to pay. The browser is full HTML, but doesn't support frames and most java and flash sites. But most sites will work fine.
