I have a Cingular 2125 which i have on password protect. The left third of the screen broke and is now non-operational. This has not been an issue because I know the phone and my password well enough that I have been able to get in and use it. But it is now not taking my password. Some text which i have never seen before has come up. I can not quite read it all but it looks like this:
(dots being the broken part of the screen)

........... entered. To confirm
......attempt is not due to
......l button presses, enter
......in the box below.

......ease try again.


It looks to like it is asking for another password? Anyway, all i am really concerned about is being able to back up the data. Any help anyone can offer will be welcome.
