I dont get signal at work, and in the past when i forward my number to another carrier i just put my smartphone on flight mode if i wanted to reference numbers etc.. does anyone know how to put the 3125 on flight mode?
thx
nevermind got it figured it out.. its int he comm-manger.. to turn phone off..
I had to search for a few minutes to find the connection manager. Not quite as easy as the old WM days where you could push the power button once and get the mode menu and other options.
For what it's worth, you can push and hold the Home button to get to the old familiar Quick List. It now contains the Comm Manager in place of Flight Mode....
Great tip, thanks.
Also, if you have the standard carrier plugin on your homescreen you can highlight that and hit the action button and it will pull up the com manager.
I love that carrier plugin, I use it in all my homescreens.
Me too, I think you can even edit the target that it opens which means you can have it open any app you want it too...I think I will have to check the xml.
The COM manger is contained as a option in the quick list, there are no icons. You can access the COM manager by one, pushing and holding the home button which will bring up the Quick List which has the COM manager as item to select, or if you have the standard carrier plugin on your homescreen (the one that says the date, time and carrier and higlights all of this information when you scroll up to it on the homescreen) you can select it and press the action button and that will bring up the COM manager.
There is a registry edit for that......I don't remember it off the top of my head. The bad thing is that it will revert back to the icon style if you reboot the phone. I would check out the 2125 forums to see if that hack is there.
You can find the registry edit for this here: http://www.mobilegadgetnews.com/index.php?showtopic=11268
It may work after reboot. On the Motorola Q it would stick after rebooting the phone.
Interesting it would not on the 2125 and it seems to be a different key for the 3125:
\HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Shell\StartMenu
• Change the GridView value to 0 if you want list view.
• Change it to 1 if you want grid view.
instead of CURRENT MACHINE its CURRENT USER
